Ladies and gentlemen, the numbers are in. I have just completed my post-harvest trim, weighed everything up, then put them into jars to cure.

Because I was quite merciless with both stripping lower nodes and removing the bottom 2 branches it left me with almost ZERO "larf". I have some small buds, but they are all great, not whispy and larfy, they are all nuggets. Each of the 6 phenos had 3 nodes or 6 branches each, and they were in 3 gallon living soil pots.

Kir Royale strain by HeavyDayze.
Big Buds = 468.3
Smaller Buds = 129.25
TOTAL = 597.55

Weight by pheno.

#2 = 87 + 21
=108

#3 = 87.2 + 10.93
=98.13

#5 = 77.3 + 26.46
=103.76

#6 = 80.5 + 14.76
=95.26

#7 = 69.8 + 35.1
=104.9

#8 = 66.5 + 21
=87.5

Yep, I am 100% certain pheno 3 is the clear winner. She reminds me of my old LSD mother plant from years ago. Looking at the final product is important too and pheno 3 also has the best final product, in every respect.

Pheno 2 produced slightly more, slightly more small buds too though, she is a little too tall and in comparison the final product is lacking
Pheno 7 also produced slightly more, but she grows slower and made a LOT of small buds, so in comparison the final product is lacking
Pheno 3 however produced slightly less but almost ZERO "small buds", she grows faster and is a nice height for my tent, even the lowest buds were SOLID, and they are twice as dank as the former phenos. This pheno is on the sour side, whilst the other phenos are on the sweet side, and I dig the sour.

So even though I am growing 4 phenos again, I think I will only take clones of Pheno 3. Now...

I am not sure if I want to keep Pheno 5, which is the DEEP purple/black plant that didn't fit the terps I was looking for but was frosty as fuck. Problem is I am not a huge fan of the taste, her terps are a bit wild and I think I might smoke this one 2nd last after pheno 6 (very very sweet). So I dont think I will take clones of Pheno 5 either, I will just keep Pheno 3 going.

No mothers yet, I have no young clones right now but my girls are in veg and I will be taking clones from pheno 3 in the next 2 weeks before I flip to flower. I have 4 large clones in veg right now, thats Pheno 2, 3, 5 and 7.

You know, I wrote a bunch of shit out, but now that I sit here I am considering dropping a Humbolt CSI pack instead of planning to run pheno 3 again. Kir Royale is a great plant, and pheno 3 is DI-NO-MITE, but I am already going to have a 2nd harvest, do I really need a third?

Gorilla Glue 4 x Purple Urkle 103 fem
Girl Scout Cookies x T1000/OFP fem
Bubba Kush S1 fem

IIRC, Captain said he is really interested in "Girl Scout Cookies x T1000/OFP fem" so that is what I am considering hardest right now.

When I am ready to reverse and do a little breeding project I plan to reverse it and cross it with itself and make fem seeds yes. HAHA I will let you know when I start the project then, I am just a hobby grower looking to be my own seed supply, no "breeding goals" or anything like that, no specific genetic I am trying to perfect, just looking to not have to buy seeds but instead make S1s and cross strains I already have. I also have lots of regular strains for breeding projects too. That is the good news, right now I have plenty of seeds to choose from.

Week 10 of Veg, day 67.

The girls are happy in their new home, my 5x5 flower tent. So... A lot of drama since my last update.

-The 1st nodes weren't making it to the canopy on a few plants so I had to remove them.
-A number of branches were too tough and stiff, and I ended up super-cropping a LOT of them by accident instead of bending them into the clips. I also snapped 1 of the 4 main colas on just 1 plant, not a massive loss but still sucks. I faced that side with the broken cola towards the corner my vent duct comes down.
-Looking at them all I realised they were still just too tall, and the stakes were a mess, so I removed them and installed my trellis net.

Nothing that has happened is that bad, it is just uneven treatment. It was a mess so I had to do something. So I am going to treat this grow like a bud-run. I should have just seen my situation and installed the net without bothering with anything else. I let my plants get out of hand and I should have known better, but, is there a better way to learn a lesson? Probably not. I got lazy. Ill keep on top of training next time. There are still a few branches I will have to train down but that is enough for now. I will be flipping to flower very soon.

About removing branches though, I usually wait until 3rd week of flower for that, some leaves maybe before that but for removing branches I do it for 2 reasons:
1. When they do the heavy stretch the first 3 weeks of flower, sometimes the lower nodes catch up but yes, theyre the ones most likely to be removed in my plants. Sometimes 1 of the 2 stems coming from the first node skyrockets and can stay, I think I have a couple in my current grow from the first nodes.
2. The plant will probably start growing another 2 shitty stems on the bottom anyway as its in veg.

Thank you man I really appreciate it! But I have to be honest. If I took pictures 3 days ago you might have had a different opinion LOL. I wanted to wait until they were happy again before putting them under the net and taking pics my grow turned into a bit of a riot too. Sorry to hear you have some sensitive plants, but its good to hear you have a few good ones!

Ill keep that in mind for next time, the branches I removed were about 1/5 the size of the other branches, way way below the canopy and they weren't going anywhere sadly I just waited too long to train the top branches, totally shaded and tiny. Next time I will leave that kind of butchery until 1st flower strip, appreciate the tip man! I really really let this grow go I have been so busy with that time of the year, but I am back on track now.

I did all this butchery about 6 days ago, so by now they are all feeling MUCH better. Next time I will wait until flower to remove shit like I did, thanks again man!

I did let them go a bit in my summer grow because I wasnt feeling it, in fact I was gonna make it all hash but after some very much needed lollipoping and proper feeding and a longer than usual cure (1,5months) it became very tasty. Im smoking it right now, you would have never thought if you saw how they were looking the first week of flower

I am also smoking on her right now the rest were great as well, but Pheno 3 is special. She reminds me of my old LSD pheno I had years ago.

That black/purple plant is SUPER frosty and very strong so I smoke that before bed. She doesn't smell or taste too special, shes good, but just not heaps dank. But... VERY strong !

Wasnt that the plant we were calling retarded? Never judge a book by its cover hahaha yeah turns out she was just very hungry huh? I believe you 100% it happened to me many times. Also if you give it a long cure its not only gonna be strong but also tasty tasty! I think most recent strains (crosses of crosses) peak at 1-2 months, sometimes 3. However landraces or not so crossed strains seem to get better for at least 4+ months of cure. Thats just my experience of course, Ive done my experiments over the years, but I cant know for sure if something went different and I didnt realize and thats why.
