Also many raids are beginning.

Los Angeles, Riverside and Orange County collectives have been being raided for the last three weeks...

Keep your heads down! It's a fucking shame!

I listened to that fed lady in the video...and I could not believe the sky is falling crap she was spouting... http://www.usatoday.com/video/index.htm?bctid=1206923330001 video link

Thinking about all the liqueur Stores and grocery stores selling booze, cigarettes and porn right across the street from schools churches and day cares makes me sick.

Kids can walk into the store and walk past the meth addict at the counter buying his porn cigs and booze... and walk past the beer coolers....get a MONSTER energy drink(liquid meth) then go to the magazine rack and next to the porn they can pick out the newest comic book then go over to the counter remember where the meth addict is buying a METH PIPE...and where they have the loosey 25cent cigs sitting there next to the bubblegum the kids are going to buy.

I mean you can buy coke or speed in just about every Bar in this country and kids can sit inside the place as long as they serve food...All the while some poor asshole is drinking himself to death, the hooker is sucking someone off in the bathroom and the bartender is selling coke plus giving any cute girl a line so he can get some - Don't forget the owner of the bar who is making a killing on all this death and destruction of life.

Give me a fucking break!

LEGAL MEDICAL POT IS THE LEAST OF OUR FUCKING WORRIES!

GO AFTER MEXICAN SHWAG...oh I forgot those gangsters will shoot back better not bother them...get the hippies with the MMJ...Soft targets are better! Just the next step up from the training course at the academy. Everyone is compliant, there is no threat of return force, No one shoots back, but most importantly they actually have money and property we can take from them and there is nothing they can do about it...

Obama is just another Bushy Republicrat!

The long and short of it is they are cracking down. But they are not after the small guy or small business. They are after the biggest and the ones located in the wrong spots.
Here is a blurb about it...

"On Friday, four U.S. Attorneys in California announced a new federal policy in the state which would be counter to the Obama Administration's long-held policy of not interfering in state medical marijuana laws.

The new policy will target collectives operating within 1,000 feet of schools or parks, despite the fact that local zoning ordinances have often allowed collectives to operate as long as they were more than 600 feet from schools. It may also be used against providers who distribute in excess of a certain amount, whether or not those providers were acting in full compliance with state and local law.

"The Obama administration has lost its way on medical marijuana and is about to seriously anger millions of Americans," said Aaron Smith, executive director of the National Cannabis Industry Association. "For some inexplicable reason, they have suddenly decided to target providers who are faithfully complying with state and local laws and pay their taxes."

RP will never get the votes from ALL the people who get federal money as their sole income such as welfare, food stamps, social security, school systems, grants, etc).
Very few of Those people vote. And, the amount of money our government spends in one month on the military industrial complex would probably pay for all of the services you listed for at least 10 years. Also, I don't think social security or grants should be on your list. Apples to oranges. People pay into social security their entire lives and deserve every fucking penny they're promised, the end.

I wish this was the case but...this is just the BS they push...but the fact is the little shops are getting shut down too.

I know of three personal friends with collectives in with a city license that are compliant and are not one of the big guys and they all got federal letters and they are all getting shut down by the city as well.

Some places just have not got hit yet... But I would not trust what they say...It is open season on collectives... Don't think cause your small your exempt from getting fucked fed style!

Just got word from another sight that Big Pharma is coming out with a med of some kind here in the next year or two... so some have speculated that this is what has prompted D E A and Fed appeal on our MMJ. But to me... I feel it was the greed and everyone talking as though it could never happen and the fed is helpless because we the people want what we want. Well now we see that is not the case. All I can add... is vote... not on party lines but on the person best suited for the job. Also the push to reschedule MMJ to II. Smoke'em if you got them... and keep your head down as they are gunning for all of us now.

I will try and find it... but what was said is that one of the drug companies is coming out with a drug or drugs that will compete with MMJ. Hence the attack on MMJ which they can not pattent or make a profit from.

What do you mean they can't patent it? The US government already owns the patent.

Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants

Abstract
Cannabinoids have been found to have antioxidant properties, unrelated to NMDA receptor antagonism. This new found property makes cannabinoids useful in the treatment and prophylaxis of wide variety of oxidation associated diseases, such as ischemic, age-related, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. The cannabinoids are found to have particular application as neuroprotectants, for example in limiting neurological damage following ischemic insults, such as stroke and trauma, or in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and HIV dementia. Nonpsychoactive cannabinoids, such as cannabidoil, are particularly advantageous to use because they avoid toxicity that is encountered with psychoactive cannabinoids at high doses useful in the method of the present invention. A particular disclosed class of cannabinoids useful as neuroprotective antioxidants is formula (I) wherein the R group is independently selected from the group consisting of H, CH.sub.3, and COCH.sub.3. ##STR1##

Everyone is game!

POMONA - Agents with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, assisted by Pomona police officers, executed a search warrant Wednesday afternoon at a medical marijuana dispensary in the 200 block of East First Street.

Pomona Police Capt. Paul Capraro said federal agents along with Pomona police went into the Green Cross USA shop at about 12:30 p.m.

They seized marijuana, edible food products containing marijuana, hashish, hashish oil and some documents, said Sarah Pullen, DEA public information officer.

"We seized contraband but also gathered evidence for the ongoing investigation," she said.

No arrests were made Wednesday but they could be made in the coming weeks, Pullen said. Both agencies have been working for several months on this case.

The dispensary opened seven to eight months ago and initially caught Pomona police officers' attention because a door to the shop appeared suddenly where before there had only been a wall, Capraro said.

"This address never existed until the dispensary popped up," he said.

The dispensary owner and the owner of the property received letters from the U.S. Attorney's Office advising them that by operating the business they were in violation of federal law and must shut down, Capraro said.

The letters said "if they didn't close they would be subject to criminal prosecution, civil prosecution and property seizure," he said.

The establishment has been "a very

busy dispensary," Capraro said, adding an armored truck company regularly came to the business for what appeared to be cash pickups.

Green Cross USA has been a concern to business owners in the area, said Larry Egan, executive director of the Downtown Pomona Owners Association.

People complained of under-age youths and unsavory people loitering in the parking lot outside the business, of people partying in the parking lot outside the business and leaving trash behind, Egan said.

Others complained people would leave their businesses, go into the dispensary and when they returned would try to sell marijuana to other patrons there.

Another concern was parking.

"They were taking up a lot of parking. They have tremendous cliental," Egan said.

Capraro said police contacted federal officials and asked for assistance.

He added the DEA's action sends a message to other dispensaries in the city.

"Our message is simple, that dispensaries are not lawful businesses in Pomona," Capraro said.

In May 2008 an ordinance went into effect prohibiting medical marijuana dispensaries in every zone in the city and in every specific plan area, said Assistant City Attorney Andrew Jared.

Independently of the DEA, the City Attorney's Office has worked to get an injunction to stop the establishment from doing business. In March the dispensary was cited for operating without a license, Jared said.

The business owner, Jeremy Maul, was convicted for operating without a business license but he is appealing the conviction, he said.

In June the city filed a suit against Green Cross Foundation, four individuals and the property owner, Jason Abboud, Jared said.

The case involves securing an injunction from the courts.

"Our goal was to get compliance with the (city's) zoning" regulations, Jared said. "The city made a choice not to have this type of store front."

In exchange for (police) support in the election, President Barack Obama has broken h

Marijuana dispensary Montclair Caregivers, at 5514 Mission Blvd., is located in the unincorporated San Bernardino County area of Montclair. Federal prosecutors filed forfeiture actions against its (and two other properties) owners on Thursday because they knowingly allowed a marijuana store to operate. (Wes Woods/Staff Reporter)
A Montclair medical marijuana dispensary is one of dozens that federal prosecutors in California are ordering shut down and warning their owners and landlords they face criminal charges or seizure if they don't comply.

On Friday, the state's four U.S. attorneys announced at a Sacramento news conference they have increased efforts to stop retail sales of marijuana and its cultivation despite California's 15-year-old medical marijuana law.

On Thursday, prosecutors filed three forfeiture actions against some of the properties, including one in an unincorporated area of Montclair - Montclair Caregivers, 5514 Mission Blvd.

The business, according to the action, is operated in the name of Mariano Ivan Canillas.

"While Montclair Caregivers claims to distribute marijuana for medical purposes, such distribution is not a recognized exception to the Controlled Substances Act," according to the document.

San Bernardino County Code enforcement personnel has repeatedly given citations to the dispensary that have been mostly ignored, according to a Department of Justice news release.

On Friday at noon, business appeared brisk at Montclair Caregivers. Employees at the facility refused comment and said they would leave a message for its owner.

Thom Mrozek, spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Los Angeles, said he was unaware the Montclair facility was still operating Friday.

"I didn't know that," Mrozek said, adding that a letter will put its owners on notice that "we are targeting this facility."

U.S. Attorney Benjamin Wagner, who represents the Central Valley, said in Sacramento that marijuana shops close to schools, sports fields, parks and other places where there are a lot children were being targeted along with "significant commercial operations" that includes farmland where marijuana is grown.

Mrozek said letters had been sent to all known marijuana stores in Pomona, Montclair, Upland, Claremont and Chino as well as those in Orange and Riverside counties.

"We are taking action against the commercial marijuana industry," Mrozek said on Friday. The letters sent are just "the beginning of a process."

"Just because you didn't get a letter doesn't mean you should feel confident you will not be targeted by the federal authorities," Mrozek said.

Anti-marijuana forces are claiming the announcement as a victory for their side.

"In the last five months, our side is seeing tremendous momentum where before that it was that we were taking shots at one another," said Paul Chabot, founder of Rancho Cucamonga-based Inland Valley Drug Free Community Coalition. "We feel this is the beginning of end of medical marijuana as as we know it."

Rodney G. Jones, chief of police in Fontana, agreed with Chabot's thoughts.

"I think if you look in the last couple of weeks there has been a significant change for the marijuana dispensaries," Jones said.

Jones said Fontana still has medical marijuana dispensaries, and his department will send out letters to them.

"We will advise them of the federal government position and our position," Jones said of Fontana's ban on dispensaries.

Meanwhile, those in favor of dispensaries were not happy with the announcement.

"I'm kind of bummed out," said Jan Werner, vice president of The Clearview Lake Corp., which runs marijuana collectives in Bloomington and Corona. Werner said his attorney was drafting a letter in response.

"It will all play out in court," Werner said.

Werner, who said he had not received a letter from federal authorities, did not believe the announcement was the end of the medical marijuana industry.

"Here's the real scenario: Marijuana has been used for over 3,000 years as medicine. Because of federal regulations our country is back in the stone ages," Werner said.

Lanny Swerdlow, a Riverside County marijuana activist and radio host, called the announcement "very disappointing" and felt police were behind the action.

"They are concerned medical marijuana will lead to marijuana legalization. This will cost them their $20 billion dollar taxpayer-funded full employment program," Swerdlow said.

Swerdlow also felt the announcement was a presidential political ploy.

"In exchange for (police) support in the election, President Barack Obama has broken his promise to leave medical marijuana patients alone and states that allow medical marijuana," he said.
