It will grow slightly however you will lose yield as it’s no longer focused on veg growth & is putting it energy in to flowering

It would probably stop growing for a week & may well hermie if you top it now

You can’t stress autos without losing yield
Even a photoperiod would freak out being topped in flower

Why do want to top it

Getting to tall ?
Bend the branches you can lst if flower if you don’t stress it by being heavy handed

Because supercropping is high stress, like topping. Stupid idea for autohemp that is in flowering. It switches from flowering to healing. = loss of bud.
Just get some string / wire and tie down the parts going to high. Dont damage stems. In 2 or 3 weeks the plant will have reached terminal flowering and it wont grow stem/upwards anymore. Just do minimal work now and after 2/3 weeks you can just ride it out.

I would even consider tucking your leaves to get better light penetration. Be careful on stressing the auto flowers out too bad.

Not enough time to grow a branch out and put a bud on it if that's what you're thinking so you lose the potential of the top you removed. If vertical space is an issue you gotta do what you gotta do and some folks just bend the branch at a 90 degree angle and let it grow sideways to keep it away from the light.

I cut off the main stem of an auto because it was ripe, and I wanted more light on the lower buds. I was also curious to see how the plant would react. It was late in flower. The plant didn't do much. I waited a week or more and couldn't see much ripening of those lower buds at all. So, we harvested the plant, got high, and lived happily ever after.

You can top anytime you want. Generally autos are short so they usually don’t need it. Some autos can grow tall right into your lights. If that is your concern consider super cropping it instead.
