Can you burp your jars outdoors or next to window to lower humidity more drastically?

Hi everyone,
I'm in week 1 of curing and I'm having some high humidity issues (>65% in jar), I noticed if i let my jar burp in the cure room I can't see an impactful change in RH, while in front of an open window or outdoors it goes straight from 65/70 to 55/60 in no time, but I'm preoccupied this could overdry the nugs...
I've done some reasearches and didn't find any answers to this question...
You think it's a good idea as long as RH doesn't drop below 55%?

You can burp and lay out those buds as much as they need to achieve 58-62% in the jar steadily. It won’t hurt them and they won’t overdry. Leave them sit out on the table for an hour or two if you have to. Just keep it dark. The light exposure will ruin the cure more than the burping.

You can add moisture if it drops below as well if you over dry them a bit but I find it hard to overdry after jarring. Trim from a veg plant or something like that if you need to bring humidity back up though.

I was going to mention that I burp in a 66 degree room with 50 rh. Pitch black and always stays this cold.

You do want to burp in a place that has less humidity than the target.

Cannatrol goes off vapour pressure to burp but it's easier to use 2way humidity packs or terplick bags like Grove bags you don't need to burp them and they actually work great they are cheap too and reusable

U for wanna drastically remove the humidity no no no slowly and what time of day plays a pivotal role after 9 am and before 3 pm if you over dry you leave the lid off and place outside in a garage or something covered the humidity with the cool temps is great for getting some moisture back into it but try bavida 62%rhpacks they work great U can also get themu. 58%for long term storage

Unfortunately I'm not from US and weed growing stuff is unfindable here (EU -> IT), except online but I never know when to trust a non-amazon ecommerce...

you can buy a wine fridge and dry it inside.you just need a mini dehumidifier and a controler that reacts to humidity to turn it on and off
it will be almost smell less when drying and you would get a better product than you would normally

As a general rule, if you find the humidity in your jars is too high then open more often. Also, sniff as soon as you open to detect ammonia scent, which would indicate mold. If you do get that scent then you should leave buds out to dry for a day or two or longer until buds are noticeably dryer. When burping, you can pour buds out on to a sheet of paper and examine closely and feel with your fingers if moist or dry and smell. Tear open a bud to know what is going on inside. If the insides are still wet then maybe drying was insufficient. You may need a dehumidifier in a wet climate. Be hands on and experience what is happening. Curing can take longer if climate is wet but you can achieve proper curing if you pay attention and take your time. People have been drying and curing cannabis for thousands of years. You can too. I like to set up a fan to quick exchange fresh air inside jars. After a harvest I've got 20 or 30 jars to burp every few days so, I can pop the top, set jar on the holder, and in a few seconds the air in the jar is fresh. Twist the top back on and next. After I do 20 or 30 jars, the basement smells amazing all day and i have a positive outlook.

Glad to see this covered as I've been doing some experimenting with managing Mason jar microclimate without 2-way humidity control packs. I keep a hygrometer in the jar and move the RH up and down by taking the lid off for about a half hour in a lower humidity room. If it drops below 62 I just take a couple slow breaths into the jar to reintroduce moisture. I have a bag of #8 boveda packs and I'm using them. I just wanted to see how difficult it would be without using them and if you're monitoring your jars, it's not difficult.

Sniff test, this is the first time I ever noticed that the first couple days in the jar, when I first crack it open for the burp it gives off a minty smell that quickly dissipates and then a fruity smell that follows. I think I'd read that pure chlorophyll actually has a minty smell. I've usually only ever smelled hay.

There are better, more sophisticated methods and you can spend a shit ton of money, but we all know great dope can still come from burped jars.

When the Santa Ana Winds roll through So Cal, humidity drops to the teens and single digits. I can lose as much as 5% jar RH with a 10 minute burp. I use paper bags to slow drying down to a couple days. Without a climate controlled space, it's just too dry to hang or even rack dry. Someone in another thread shared a pic of a cool cardboard box drying space they had set up to hang buds inside. I'd like to try it but I won't have anything to play with again until around February.

I'm in tropical Pennsylvania with 80%-90%.

Since I fired up my pellet stove my houses humidity is on point for flower
