Can't Tell Which Chiller Port Intakes Water??

Would I F up my system if I hook up my water pump to the chiller wrong? I know where the water comes OUT from my water pump, but I don't know which port on my stupid chiller is an intake and which is the outflow. It's an OLD school METAL 1/2 HP ECO PLUS chiller. I'll attach a link if it works to show a photo. Is there a way to test this ahead of time w/o screwing anything up??
