I have read plenty about cloning and taking cutting but have not found any information or experimentation on splitting the bottom ½- 1 inch or so of bottom stem instead of just having a 45° angle cut. I have not experimented yet myself with doing that I have only used the angle cut. In my way of thinking it seems that splitting the end would help but have found zero information of people attempting. If anyone has done this please let me know what the results were. I am highly interested in continually growth and recycling my plants to form new monster croppers for the next year and would like any input about the topic from experienced growers. Thank you

No need to split stems. If anything it will slow things down a bit. I've tried it side by side and if not equal then always a bit slower.
