I would like to try and take cuttings from my finances late grandfathers rose bush
It hasn't really been cared for since his death about 15 years ago but did have several flowers on it last year. I plan to give it some compost, kelp and epsom once the weather starts turning then a little stronger ferts a couple weeks later, then try and take some cuttings april or may. From my understanding it's not really any different, but I was wondering if anyone here has any experience and or tips. Thanks

You don't want old growth, or buds. Get some strong new green cuttings, snip the buds if any. You are growing roots not leaves. Is a rooting hormone.

I just threw cuttings into 4in pots with coco chunks and threw them on the veg table. Root in about a month or so.
