I was wondering if co2 is bad for direct root contact within the bins. I ask because I see a lot of guys running mpb and UC setups with there air pumps in the room. I remember reading awhile ago that is was a bad idea.

Wouldnt this pump co2 into each bin?

I ask because I am about to buy 2 ap-100's and it seems everyone runs them within the room. I always thought co2 was bad for the roots? anyone care to confirm its ok for me to place my pumps in the room?

It's not "bad"; it's just not "ideal".

Doubleds MPB was all about setting up the best possible grow room from years of his trial and error. Locating your air pumps out of the grow room is the best possible way, however, the tradeoff is TONS of airline tubing. I think I went through 250 feet of 1/4" airline tubing in my last setup. Plus you have to ziptie all that stuff together unless you want to trip and die.

With that said, I have and still do one or two krusty-style buckets with the air pump in the room and it grows fine.
