I had a big co2 bag hang inside my 2x2ft tent and the co2 did not increase at all (using Trolmaster co2 tester)

My opinion not worth it unless you completely seal your grow without ventilation, then it might work..

Jdog,

Like the others said don't waste your time. cannabis may be a plant that does not respond with higher rates of photosynthesis even with higher CO2 levels. Not all plants respond.

But, if you want to dive up the cannabinoid levels buy a 75W UVB reptile light. Look it up Amazon. If interested I’ll send you height - distance, time of exposure, etc.

Zill.

They work, but only work well in small, sealed spaces. Most tents are not air tight enough to make a difference so you will probably not get very good results unless you have a well sealed tent.

If you're in a larger space like a room, these bags won't work. I would suggest either bottled CO2 or a CO2 burner. I prefer the CO2 burners, personally, as propane is cheap and easily obtained, and it helps keep my grow room temperatures up in the winter time. This can be an issue in the summertime, though, however, keep in mind that you actually want higher temperatures in your grow space when you are running CO2. Also, paying attention to, and keeping your VPD in the proper threshold is very important when running CO2, otherwise you are throwing money away.

No they’re a total waste. Think about how much air the fans suck out within a given amount of time compared to how much CO2 a bag of mycelium releases within that same amount of time. I bought one and then later felt dumb about it. Lol

really good answers guys, i was abit silly to try it out but i popped a few extra holes in it to hopefully do something. ive looked into it abit more now, so far im all for the home made co2 bottle you can buy online and just make my own batch with beer yeast ?

so if i was buying a 10x5 tent and i wanted co2 would i be going 2 or 3 DIY co2 5L cans ? australia is fkn hot i need something to help the temps, an aircon struggles to keep it at 25C

Excellent point there.. if your not dialing in the VPD, C02 is pointless.. I've tried it a few times, and wish I measured it. Just peaking in your tent everyday could be enough C02 for your plants. Heck I tried leaving a candle on a few nights but couldn't sleep wondering if anything would catch on fire..lol. I'm tempted to try them again for my 4x2 though. Leave it on the floor as the vent sucks from the top. Or not. UVB lighting is interesting.

Can't remember if it was here or another forum but I read a thread where someone with a quality co2 meter did testing and found out that just hanging out in the lung room for an hour raised co2 level more than the bags.

Not worth the money. If you’re going to play with co2 just get the gas. Do beware using co2 1000ppm and above with proper lighting creates a whole new beast and different care in my experience. Plants are much more hungry and thirsty when thriving. They can take more heat and light.

Current run is using 1gal water every second day with tea feeding up to twice a week, anc think they could handle more. Using all organic soil and amendments. Backing off on feeding now at day 49 flower. Needed fuckers…

Not a fan of the burner gas setup. I started with that and had lots of issues is a small 4x5x8 inclosed space. You definitely need space for a burner setup and I had a small two burner unit. My experiment did not go well. Bad heat issues and learned you really need to ventilate heavy during lights out, as you should with gas co2 as well, just not as bad. I later went with gas and have been much happier, other than dealing with the damn bottles.

It’s all for fun for me.

One of those tea light candles that burns 8h ia enough for a 1x1m(3x3) tent i just use a garden light holder shouldnt make anything catch fire.

Tested it with paper sitting on it just got a little darker after a few hours

Waste of time unless you have a sealed room. Immaculate your soil it will exhale as much co2 as those bags.
