Hey my fellow farmers.
So these little ones just started. I notices there are some others in the community with fresh plants.
If there’s anyone else out there that want to hop on board and track the development of some seedlings special to you. Looking for 2-3 others to bounce ideas off and see it through to harvest.

So a bit of background. The majority of these seeds are San Fernando Valley Kush x Handband Hashpalnt. I got them from an old hippy friend up in the hills. Supposedly it’s been cultivated in Western MA since the 80s, but you know how these things can be exaggerated.
Planted 6 last week and four of them popped over the weekend.
I also planted some regs, and they popped really trying to get a male to Do some breeding experiments down the road a little bit.

They are in a soil blend of my devising: 1 part coast of Maine, 1 part Vermi-Fire nutrient loads soil, and 2 parts coco. I find it drains well and releases plenty of good feed over the course of the grow.
Right now the lights aren’t anything special one 40w and one 70w blurple lights. I’ll definitely have to up the power soon.

As always friends have nice day!

Not going particularly fast, but I am haopy about the fact that why are not stretching any more. When I transplanted to these 3in pots I ended up burying a fair amount of stretch stem. With luck that will be putting out a some new strong root growth.
Trying to encourage that aim by feeding these plants just a little smidge each time I water. Been using a 5ml of clones solution per 1.5 Liters of water. I find it really gets that root ball growing string and thick. I’ll continue this feeding for another week or two.

As always friends have nice day!

The San Fernando x Headband Hasplants are off around a really good start. I’m pleasantly surprised at how compact and short they are staying. I was expecting to have to correct significant stretching under the blurple lights here.
They are working in their third leaf node. I was going to wait for them to double in size again before doing any training techniques.

I grow perpetually back to back transitioning from a veg cabinet area to my tent thru flower, 150 viparspectra p1500 for veg and a 240w 3000k panel for flower tent. Usually 3-5 plants at a time, I keep them small; under 24" usually, using net to train out under and build up a nice full canopy.
Following along and always down to shoot the shit bouncing ideas looking good so far, though!

Nice Mike thanks for joining In for the grow.
BSG I known your doing your thing with hippie. We are a bit apart in timing.

Hey Mike,
I totally know what you mean, for almost two years I only had a single 2x2x3 hut that I built myself. Actually the Hut in these pictures are the Chamber, now it’s my small clone propagation and seedling chamber.
feeling very spoiled with the 3 chambers.

All the SFVxHH (x4) were transplanted today. I also have a Kermit Lab (x3) and Blue Dream (x1). The last four are all reg seeds. really trying to get a male.
in the past I was blasé with my males always just ripping them out. The irony now that I have the space and Intention the last 14 seeds I planted were all female.
(Look over at my Basement Lab thread for some nice flower Picts right now).

I am little concerned about the SFVxHH. The stem close to the pre-transplanted dirt was very very skinny, then it gradually revers tapered to become more staunch. I buried the skinny part in the medium during the transplant, hopefully it will become productive root.

Anyone else notice stem diameter fluctuations in early development?

Also the water right now is a 6.8 pH with 5ml / 28 liqOZ of Clone-X solution. I find it beefcakes up the roots some.

The SFVxHH are doing really well.
Ive decided to try a separate training technique with each of the four plants I have in this little grow. I’ve bent and topped one, just topped one, bent one, and the last is my control With no manipulation.
Im really curious to see how it responds. These are some of the best genetics I’ve run through my set up to date. The blue dream is of course quite good, but excited to see what the SFV produces.
Also in the tiny tent are my Blue dream and Kermits Lab regular seeds, still looking for a male. To try that breeding experiment.

Sorry. One of the SFVs has also been lawn mowered. I’m trying to go for a manifold type thing, but first time trying it so not sure if it will work out.

Any advice on manifolding a seedling?

Honestly not too much change in the last week.
I really have to be on top of rH and temp readings in the new space.
so far I have noticed that the SFVKxHH is quite resilient in the face of My tortures. They're been clipped and contorted. Happy to see the thickness of the stock in may instances. Even at this low high and iffy stature they are about the end of a pinky finger in diameter.

Be well and Happy Grows

Here are the best two out of the SFVKxHH. Much happier now that they are under the 300w veg light.
first picture was topped normally, and is starting the normal under brand development.
However, I chopped the second one hard core. It is really doing a great Bosnia thing.
Be well, and happy grows

Howdy fellow farmers,
Took a look at the SFVxHH this morning. Not all of them are awesome. But many of them are growing well. I’m noticing some reach and have to figure out how to put some more lumins in that tent.
The first picture is the plant I jacked up pretty bad and chopped the main stem low down. I’ve really been able to do some bonsai magic with that one. I think I counted 8 future cola points maybe with a topping or two I can push that to 12 or 16.
the second picture is a better example of the read( I was talking about. This plant def could do with a stronger light. But I’m really liking the lighter hue of green that these plants and presenting. To me they are just looking healthier and happier than many of my other plants with weaker genetics.
As always friends, have nice day.

The reach issue I solve with aluminium foil shiny side up at the bass of the plant an cover the enter surface of the pot.

Always has worked for me dude 👍🏼

decided it was time to see how this strain responded to the cloning gel.
SFVxHH is growing really well. I’ve discovered a soil training method that will give me a nice multi-headed sea monster of a plant. The big chop method, it was scary to just cut the main stem so low down, but it has really paid off. (Sorry not featured i these pictures, look up).

Back to the clones. I have a three part hormone method. Yeah a little costly, but I also like to have 100% clone survivalm and last two cloning cycles have seen that.
this time around, I’m playing with it a little trying to push the boundaries some. I have tried to cline one of the topped tops. So I have this very distinctive Y formation. hope the fork underground takes.
but CloneX gel, powder hormone on top of the soil, and water with cloneX liquid solution. In the homemade clone propagation chamber.

cant wait to see what happens.

Of all the SFVxHH I have going the first two picks are the best plant.
I did the big chop torture method of training very early on in its development and it rewarded me with this nice sea monster. 8 or 10 tops I think.

the rest are doing ok. They were seriously stunted by the lack of light in the tent. I had the sea monster under the 300w blurple on the right. But with my new and improved lighting scene I expect to see good things in here too. Only have the new panel going at 50%!

Hello farmers,
74 days ago I started these SFVxHH seeds not really knowing what would happen, I invited you all to plant and do a run of seeds.
i am happy to say that the plant themselves have turned out better than I could have anticipated. The change in lights have really help catapulting my grow room to a legit level.
spent some time trimming and pruning today. That’s a new technique to me let me know if there should be more or less.
first picture is the sea monster. Really doing my best to recreate the giant plants I see in other peoples tents.
grow on my friends

So it’s been a month since my last posting .
I really should have giving you guys some intermediary shots, S you will not recongize these behemoth Plants as the timid and shy little ones from 30 days ago. I’ve been working with a new methodology I’ve dubbed the hybrid.
Dirt / coco mix for substrate (dirt is Maine coast and vermi fire, both fairly hot soils). And to bust on top of the soil I’ve been employing some hydroponic class fertilizer once every other week. I’m finding success over the past several grows.
The San Fernando Valley cross Headband Hashplant has the super neon green top leaves in the pics, really loving the last feeding they got.
The final picture is my big bloom tent (4x4) that has five different strains in it. I’m actually running out of light room in the top of the tent!
Be we’ll grow monsters.
