Okay, have searched this site, others, and the Internet in general and am trying to come to a consensus (from people who know) about what the "ideal" amount of lux/footcandles hitting plants would be for flowering.
Setting up a DIY Coliseum grow, which will have four 600s (5 or even 6 in the winter) running down the middle (stacked vertically, either bare bulb or in a cooltube, TBD), and am ordering my light meter off of Ebay.
Going to setup the stacked lights and then take some light measurements at different distances to figure out the best specs for the octagon - don't wanna make it too large and have airy buds, but don't wanna make it too small and waste extra light.
Reading Jorge's Bible, and on page 182 he says that 10,000 foot candles (or 107,500 lux) is the "maximum" light requirements for plants - to anyone's knowledge, has this ever been confirmed/refuted?
I know some people out there have light meters and take readings..........share the knowledge, please.
Thanks,
Bob
