Okay @Oldchucky, I'm thinkin' bout leaning the little ones.
What do you think about tying chopsticks to the stem and tying that to the pot edge?
Just to get them going in the right direction.

Or, leave them alone so the wind can strengthen the stems.
I’ve never bent anything smaller than probably 3 feet! Even with two in a pot! Probably around late, July. Depending on how fast the plant is growing! I let them get pretty well established before I start pulling them over! I just jam up long piece of bamboo into the pot at about a 45° angle and start training the main stock to grow in that direction! Once the stock is over and pointed in that direction, all the lowers start growing up and the tip will grow up, so I just keep pulling it back down and tying it off as it does. Till they start flowering! I don’t know what happens when you start a real tiny like that! Once the stock is at a 45 everything growing out wants to grow vertically! So you wind up with a lot of cola like growth! I’m tired of correcting the spelling of,Stalk!😆

Makes sense. I've been watching indoor grows and they start really early, so I thought why not?
Maybe I'll try it on a couple, I have to go out there every day anyways to see if any boys show up.

i just have 1 clone to give away to someone and nobody wants it LOL. I planted a random bag seed in one of my long block wall garden beds like the pic shows. It's coming up now i don't know why i did that it makes 7 if it grows for me to care for. Then there's that 1 damn clone it's got to go into a pot or in another spot in the wall gardens. Us crazy gardeners, I knew better uggg.

Beautiful flower garden, just beautiful!
But how in the world do you get up there to weed the back row?

I'd tie 'em up. They usually only need it for about a month at most. I use wooden skewers and garden wire

Works like a charm and no broken plants😉

Edit: maybe I should've read the rest of the conversation🤣 Tie 'em down, twist 'em round. Set out the whip. I grew in 1 gal fiber pots and connected 8 of those wires about a foot long. Topped the plants at 3ed node and then at 2 and 2 for 8 tops and bent them all down. Fun times but it's a lot of work but well doing😉

Heya chucky do you bend your mainstem rrr to the north of does it really matter? I can’t spell either
You guys have seen my plants! Nothing big, but manageable! You just let them get up to three or 4 feet, bend them over, and let nature take its course! It works here! I am old, lazy, and no ladders! I prefer 9 1 pound plants over 3 3 pound plants! You get more variety!

Back at the far end along the back fence there are steps to go up into the lower bed and you can access the upper bed from there. I want to put in a gate to the ally behind me it's just a fire truck access ally not a " homeless ally " and all the neighbors are very nice. I will need a gate so that when i'm finished planting all along the back fences with trees and pretty bushes/ornimental grasses a dump truck of bark mulch can be dumped back there it will make it 10x easier than moving it from my driveway if i dumped it there. That's the story LOL🤪😆

I don’t know! I think you’re a lot more nimble than you would lead us to believe!😂😍

Yes i'm doing pretty good Oldchucky i owe it to being on the move, outdoor physically doing anything. Just worked hard in my career and at home. I get aches in my back but then i move as it feels better. I can't sit still much unless it's dark out. Man i love sitting in the dark outside looking at the clear nights and stars/metiors.

My brother lives in Riverside! He always marvels at the sky when he comes up here! Most of that area they can’t even see stars with all of the ambient light! I think it was still 78° at 10:30 last night! My ass will be sitting out there stargazing! Among other things!😆🍻

Thanks @PlumberSoCal2, I always forget the stems harden up after a short time.
