Okay, another day of transplanting.
All the photos in the mesh bags, went into 1 gallon trade pots. A little more room for the roots.
And easier to move around.

I never want to do this again. Whew.

Didnt you say something similar last year? 🤔

Looks like you have more this year than last 🧐

🤣 Some lovely ladies ya got there (and a few handsome young men too) Your banjos have probably showed ex by now btw. All of mine ive run have by that old/size. Males and fems both for that cross.

When ya check, only check like a node or two below the newest tiny growth. Most the example pics youll find googling show preflowers lower then where you should actually be checking, and on much older plants, because it just makes taking a picture of them easier. Not becvause thats where you should be looking

(Ive learned talking to several people recently that this is actually why they think their plants dont show sex as early as they actually do, they are usually looking at nodes too low for how young their plant is. *Nodes that were there before plant reaches sexual maturity dont produce preflowers in any context, even after sexual maturity* btw)

This one's 7.5 weeks old, female sativa Dom, showed sex like a week ago, confirmed it a few days ago. As of today has very visible pistils if ya zoom in.

Bout to finish up my own selected pheno of that Banjo x Haymeadow. Very beautiful plant. The early dried popcorns are *quite* powerful to say the least as well. Hits like the finest afghan, tastes like it too 🔥

Okay @Oldchucky, I'm thinkin' bout leaning the little ones.
What do you think about tying chopsticks to the stem and tying that to the pot edge?
Just to get them going in the right direction.

Or, leave them alone so the wind can strengthen the stems.
for what it’s worth I let this round get tall enough to top (5 or 6 nodes), then maybe a week later I started bending them over. I don’t want mine to be over 6 foot at stretch. Shit shorter with more colas is better, damn neighbors

also a rookie 😅

I get the whole LST concept, but lately I'm thinking, OK, you get more verticals on the exposed side, but on the opposite, you get the opposite. So, why not leave them growing straight up with big bud sticks in the center and nugs at the tips all around? Am I missing something in the computation versus the execution? Or maybe inhaling too much of this stuff?
Yeah, you can play with it! Your climate seems to be a lot better for vegging than mine! So you have to adjust to that! The bending just encourages the secondary branching to grow vertically!

I think the idea is instead of getting the one big cola and a bunch of little ones, with LST you can get like 50 medium colas. I don’t understand why it works but it does.

Valid point though, about the bare underside 🤷‍♂️

I think the branches on the underside wrap around the branch and head upward too, just not as fast or as tall. This is kind like LST on a large plant, just not as extreme.

I do it because it keeps the plant down where I can manage it! And all of the branches start growing vertically! So you wind up with a lot of good size colas. And I found that vertical growth needs less support than horizontal growth! When the rough weather comes! It’s just grower preference! They both work!

Went out and checked the photos, still don't know who's who. and installed some eyelets in the bags.

@Thatoneguyyouknow_ Your seeds have turned into plants and I put them in the 12. 4 plants, 2 each.
Because I can't seem to see as well as you, I put 2 of each in the bag. (I really don't want trees so it'll stunt them a little.
Hopefully. LOL)
Oh, the Banjo one and the Pbb X Haymeadow. They're adjusting.
How often do you think I should feed/spray them?
Sorry, had my cookie a little while ago. 😁

Okay, I think I've found the tool to see the little tiny balls and hairs.
When I worked on PC boards I used this and then hubby reminded me about it. Mine have plastic lenses. Works great! My hands are free and I'm not squinting.
