I tried to grow coreopsis and they came up grew 2 leaves, then turned dark and stopped. Something was off with my setup 'cause the tomato plants did the same thing.
Basil and chamomile were fine, weird.

I put everything in the greenhouse last night but this morning the temp is already down to 32 degrees and it usually gets colder in a couple hours. Oh, ya, I couldn't sleep again and it's 3:30am. 🙁

We're still bumping freezing at night here too.

My wife and I have been fighting flu the last few days and around midnight she had a coughing fit. I got back to sleep but am back up at 5:30. It will be a slightly slow Friday.

I've got a total of 5 regular seeds growing. 1 or 2 are likely to be male so I'm shooting for 3 or 4 plants. Taking care of what you're trying is another level !!! I can understand why you're stressing.

Best wishes for the season.

Beautiful day! So, fluffed flower and weed beds, sprayed all with multiple bio-fungicides and watered it in.
Boy am I tired!
Started transplanting some of the bigger weed plants into the fiber, 1 gallon pots.
Gonna need more storage containers to carry them in. Still not sold on the 'no more frost/freeze' thing so have to keep the greenhouse handy.
Day before yesterday got down to 32 and the grass looked like snow until the sun appeared.

And no weeds to deal with you lucky gal🥰 it's raining here this morning and cooler. It was too hot there for a while this early in the season. Now it feels normal. Hope i did'nt jump the gun with my warm season veggies? LOL i just love replanting..........not.

I did that years ago, then we had frost on June 8 and lost all my home grown from seed veggie plants. Problem was, everyone else did too and finding replacements was difficult. 🫤

No weeds, yep. I plant too many flowers and there's no way weed seeds are gonna find a way in. LOL
Plus I put the grass clippings around all until Fall, when EVERYTHING comes out.

I have to get out there again today and start planting. Those piles of grass clippings have to be moved or the grass will die underneath and hubby will not be pleased. LOL

I mulch with my clippings and leave it on my beds i'll turn the soil over with a pitchfork during winter in Jan. and again in March. Then i rake and smooth it later in April it's so much easier with raised beds . My perinial block wall beds are so loaded with plants & bushes i can hardly weed out the bad stuff i went way overboard LOL.

Don't we all! LOL
I forgot the roman chamomile is a perenial and now I have to find a permanent place for it. Geesch.
Oh, oh, maybe I'll put them in the 12 weed boxes in back. They'll feed the tiny 'good bugs'.

My beds have bamboo poles everywhere for supports. I put tomatoe cages around my dahlias, supports for my tall flowers. It's so breezy here i had my damn teepee bean poles even collapes several times last summer really a PITA sooooooo not doing pole beans this year.
