Hey everyone,

My dad grew 2 plants and he didn’t want to deal with it anymore so he decided to let me cut down his harvest and keep it for myself. I’m currently curing 10 mason jars with hygrometers but this jar that this bud is in is a little to high on the RH(73%) and I keep reading so much into it causing mold so now I’m paranoid. I burp twice daily and I open this jar about an hour a day. I took it all out and put it back on the dry tray to air out with them all out and flat. I’ve taken some pictures(couldn’t really get a focus on it but did the best I could) I don’t think it is mold but wanted to get another opinion as I wanted to just rather be safe then sorry. Thanks in advance.

Take it out of the jar and let it dry out. You can put it in a paper sack (along w/ your hygrometer) and roll down the top of the bag.

Thanks everyone. Based on the pictures it does not look like mold right? Just normal trichomes?

Perfect! I’m going to try the paper sack method. Do I leave it in over night? Or check it after each hour and once it’s at 65% put it back in the jar?

Usually it molds where leaf connects to stem.or where bud was cut.you get white or black fuzz

I don't see mold in your pics. I think the key to successful curing is successful drying. I hang my plants in tents at 55-60% RH for 10-14 days before curing. Once the moisture content of the buds is down to about 60%, it won't be a struggle to keep the RH down in your curing jars.
