Custom CC RDWC+Co2+More in a 10*10 Room

Hey everyone,

Thanks for hanging out with me for this ever evolving setup I have been building and looking to "finalize" this upcoming run...
10x10 built by myself and wife over time, mylar walls, custom electric-all walls on separate 20a breakers (even the ceiling is wired for lighting), recently installed a mini split just for the room as it is sealed running Co2 via gas line. Photontek 1000w Co2 and a FOHSE 900w for flowering and HLG Bspec for veg. For monitoring I use BlueLab for the water and I recently dove into the world of AI with that new AC Infinity setup. So here is the room as it was setup for idea purposes:

The Equipment

Current run about to finish in a month(ish) is what I like to call structured chaos. As the plan here is to use the 2(six) site rdwc for flower and the 4 site ones are being turned into 8 sites with the help of my 3d printer lol.. and those will be for the veg and an easy cloner for obvious reasons.

Now if you made it this far your probably as into this stuff as I am. This is my first attempt at a journal but think it would be cool. SO now your caught up to the clones....
The Mrs. and I are popping some seeds as of today and thought the journal should start with them but we can fill you in on the above ones as they harvest for the sake of science

Now it has been awhile since I have popped some seeds rather than just clones but its time to get more variety since we are growing into that space, literally.
So being a tech nerd I read about this CannKan seed kit, ordered it and here it is in action as of today we put in 6 Purpz and 3 BBCxVanilla Frosting all from Humboldt

has a heating pad and day 1 uses almost a full thing of water to soak them, then tomorrow I will be dumping that and replacing with what looks like only a 1/4 full and heat it.. condensation-science etc should sprout nicely

So that is about it, looking forward to this one so come join and help us really dial this space in...

Day 2

On this day I am dumping the water from the seed starter and refilling only 25% full on the heat pad to create some nice condensation. I have never used this but it makes popping seeds extremely exciting again lol

Now more of the waiting game..

But the clones are doing nicely and popped well:
Still gonna show the clones as they are ahead of the seeds so might as well watch them as the seeds grow to take their place

Day 3: Nothing to report
Day4: Made some Hydrochlorous Acid, which is what the big companies sell us for way too much $$. You can get t his thing on Amazon and all it takes is water, salt, and vinegar for ph.. and I have the cleanest looking water you can see through to the bottom and happy white roots:

Now onto that new seed contraption....

Three days in and I am happy, got some good 1/2"ers and the others have sprouted but I will leave them in for another day. Going to use a riot cube and a custom bottom water feeder for seedlings I 3d printed:

Good eye!! I saw that earlier and that is another reason I made the hydrochlorous acid too. I will take a pic tomorrow to show how much it improves as the stuff has not let me down yet, and you can make it as potent as you like just by running it a few times if need be!!

Sweet set up man. Excellent use of space. My first real grows were in DWC 20yrs ago. Which there weren’t a lot. Good luck l!

Thank you very much, I have this vision in my mind but it keeps evolving lol.. I started dwc/rdwc roughly a decade ago myself...

Try and stay tuned as I think this will be a good thread to watch, I hope, and I ask anyone who has constructive feedback to not hesitate in sharing with us all. I ordered this earlier:

Which will provide some of that great UVB, I may end up with another set but I am going to try mounting a single on each side for the ones that have a few weeks left to really see the difference as they are clones of clones I have grown for awhile...

Should be interesting, oh and we also got this recently so when these finish flowering, and the seedling take over the current run will be drying in this new Cannatrol we spoiled ourselves too, #tytaxrefund

I have not read a bad thing about it and claims to dry in 4 days and cure in another 4!

I run the Cali lightworks UVb and they're great. An hour a day spread out in 20 min intervals. I burned a tent full of plants pretty bad my first run with them so be careful and start slow!

One for each side should work great.

Yes I am but the only catch is iodide free salt has to be used:

here is a root that needed it and the same root 24 hrs later, my clone res is in a warmer spot than I would like but its just temp growing pains as I sort the "structured chaos" out lol @Smokey0418 the left clone just 14 hrs later ish

Oh that is really good to hear, ty. I ran UVB about 10yrs ago with the reptile bulbs and I could see a difference then so I imagine this has come along way since I have done so..

I also have my far red initiator pucks, had these for a long time too. I would just turn them on 15 min before lights out and then off 15 min after lights out to help create the Emerson effect, basically helps the plants "fall asleep" much faster in the dark than they normally need to unwind.. kinda lilke melatonin for the plant the best I can describe it. So I should put those back in there as well:

Hey thanks, I know I am running the risk of that pithium happening with it being where it is ,, but it is temporary and as long as I keep up on the hydrochlorous acid I should be OK for the next week or so ... Thanks again

I have looked at acid but have yet to try and over time settled with orca and now hygroben.

Finally got around to popping the CannaKan open and I was def expecting better results.. The two BBCxVanilla popped open so it was enough to take them out, and the 3 Purpz did not budge.. So I did what anyone of us would do, I left the Purpz in and started it all over again by adding 6 Chicken and Waffles beans and filling to the top to soak for day one as per the instructions. Then setup the other 3d printed bottom feeder I did..

Let's see what the Easter Bunny brings for tomorrow I suppose

Day 6: Just moved a few of the Chicken and Waffles that sprouted.. nothing new to report. However I did order some new things for the room I am excited to add into this grow, stay tuned for that

Its me but bringing this thread back to life as it is not done yet but now the room is clearing out to put the talk into more action..

Last I left off I was discussing how I was redoing my own version of an rdwc and well she is up and running.. check out the differences:

and with some ladies starting to trickle in....

Kept it clean.. the water chiller is hiding in the corner until I get to the store to put another idea to work and another fancy hole in the wall to keep both chillers out of the room

Still coming along, and I am glad it slowed down a bit for some more brainstorming so I can use the space to the best of my ability and highlighting some ingenuity ;)

Speaking of space, There are two things in these pics I have done that I think are genius for my setup here, outside the box and then burning that box kind of thinking because I def have some ideas hoping to pull off here that may lead to a new RDWC company....if they can do it, why not me?
