Determing regular seeds sex early

Trying to determine the sex I started these two seeds 4 weeks ago. I was told you cut just take cuttings and put them in a cup of water in my flower tent and in a week they should show their sex without having to wait on pre flower.View attachment 1258675View attachment 1258673

Never heard of that one. I think it’s some “web junk” because you’re taking cuttings and hoping they grow flowers (either male or female) before they can even root. I don’t think plants will do that. However, keep us posted on your progress because growers will want to know in case it works.

It works. some take longer than others and may have roots before they show.

Generally you can tell just by the pre flowers. They usually start just before or at the time nodes start to alternate.

Hello everyone, It is now one week from the day and here are the results. out of the two plants I have one female for sure. the other I am not sure but it looks like she may be female.

Plants will usually show there sex from around 4 weeks onwards indoors is usually the norm.

I just found that out today when checking the plants that I took the clones from....I am only use to growing feminized seeds but this strain does not exist in fem.

It depends on how sensitive they are to light cycle change. The older they are the more sensitive they usually are with built up flowering hormone over time.

Get a 30x loupe for $10 off amazon and start checking your plants for preflowers at about the 3rd node. I usually have them all sorted by the 5th or 6th node. You won't get any faster than that I don't think.
