"They’re also a little too similar to beloved bands like Nirvana, and they aren’t perceived as adding anything original to the formula, instead cranking out hits that might be described as grunge-light. “The hope and memory of grunge can be seen to be soiled in the worst kind of way in the hands of bands such as Nickelback, who represent everything grunge was against, not least of all commercialism,” Anttonen writes. The band’s very success undermines its ability to borrow from grunge and metal, because there’s nothing metal about a song your mom listens to on the radio—“horrifying radio rock,” as one critic called Nickelback in 2005."

I'm just busting your balls. I don't really care if you like Nickelback but I enjoy talking shit about them.

Real shit though, people like things a lot blander up here in Canada. Opinions, music, clothes, food... It makes sense that they're mocked in the States for being generic, overly commercial, and radio friendly because that's legit what people in Canada want. See also: Justin Bieber, Celine Dion, and Creed.
For the record, everyone I know personally hates Nickelback. Pretty spot on analysis of Canadian "culture" though.

Anyhoo.. tent update.

I'll be honest they seem to be having a hard time getting going. I've got decent roots showing on 2 of 4, but all the older foliage has turned yellowish.. at least all 4 are showing new green growth so I'm holding tight. Tent temp is around 82F , 55-60RH, light is set to about 40% at around 30" and showing about 200ppfd on my phone app. Getting dipped daily into nutrient of 0.7ec and 5.7ph.

I'm sure once the roots get well established they'll pick up speed.

Quickie update from today's check in, still only roots showing out the bottom of two blocks however they look a fair bit healthier.

I'm not going to change anything trying to chase this, just keep doing the right things and they should rebound just fine. The two of them look excellent, and it makes me suspect I may have damaged the roots on a couple of them during transplant. A couple had wild roots that were difficult to slide in the block without damage so.. thinking that could be what happened. They all have nice new green growth so I think it's only a matter of time before I see the growth really take off. Two will be ahead of the others, but it should all even out on the scrog net.

Room sitting at 81F, 55RH, feed is 0.8ec 5.6-5.7ph.

Looking at them today... I've gotta say, one plant is way ahead of the pack and If this keeps up, I might actually just rock the one plant. I'm sure that one vigorous plant can easily fill the 4x4. Would be kinda epic actually.

Keep forgetting to bring the phone with me, I'll snap a pic tomorrow.

Looks great SSgrower!

Well I think I'm going to pull 3 of the plants out to veg elsewhere for a different project, they need some icu time.. and I'll just focus on growing one monster under the sf4000. The one plant has almost fully rooted the delta block and is just dumping roots out the bottom. It's begging for a slab while the others look to be a week behind or better. And once it's on the slab it will go berserk.

Today is sulphur burn day. It might be a small grow, but im not skimping on IPM. I decided to hang the light on its side and bag it up to protect against the sulphur fumes since the 301B diodes are not coated for sulphur protection like the 301H diodes are. I figure 1 hr should be enough to really fog up the tent.

almost time to find a new can for my burner... she's gettin rusty. Might just buff it and paint it. Dunno. But damn these things got expensive to buy them pre-made. Can put one together for 20 or 30 bucks.

Well.. off to a rough start lol, but I've got faith.

Here is the keeper with the best root system, and this was 4 days of growth between pics, so despite starting out looking a bit haggard, she's growing fast enough. I have faith it will fill in nicely here quick. Put her on a slab today so I expect in a week from now things will look a lot different. Certainly nothing impressive to see yet lol.
