That will need about 288 cubic feet of material, so about 10 yds of a quality garden soil from a reputable local soil supplier. Id call a few local lawn and garden companies and ask who they recommend for garden soil and see what they say. Bulk garden soil is usually different suppliers from region to region.
Lol i just reread this and saw you wrote 4', not 4".. I assume you meant 4 inches.. lol but which is it? digging out a 24 x 36 foot area 4 feet deep is a lot of fill, like 128 yards of soil to fill the hole. 10 or 11 dumptruck loads.
