Haha! Since I've not run pee through a chemical analyzer myself I can only go by what I've read and what I've read says there's bacteria and other stuff in human urine so one thing you should do is pasturize it if you're using it for gardening, and if you don't, you definitely don't want to leave it sitting in a watering can all day. I tried it really just to prove to myself it could be used as an effective N fertilizer but there's better alternatives that are really cheap if that's what you're aiming for.
but whats cheaper than free.and its organic :D

I had recently ordered up some organic lawn fertilizer online. When it arrived I’m reading the label and it’s bio sludge.

I call up to initiate a return and the agent ask why I’m returning:

“Because I don’t want the bag of human shit you sent me.”

Agent doesn’t miss a beat: “OK, no problem”.

It *was* organic.

Yeah from what I just read you have to water it down a lot and you're good to go! I bet if you ate a balanced diet the NPK would be great. Maybe eat some more dairy/yogurt during flower. The ultimate DIY!
It's amazing what you'll find browsing the internet. I thought of this because I had just seen an ad for using urea for skin care on one of those annoyance pages that show me stuff I never wanted to see. Gotta wonder what will show up after the bots check out this conversation.

There's a medication made from horse urine. It's how supplemental estrogen was first extracted for women who need it for various reasons. It's called Premarin, and it got its name from pregnant mare urine. I don't think it's commonly used now because estrogen from plants is chemically like human estrogen. I also heard the practice was brutal for the horses. I know this because an ex was prescribed the stuff.

It has to do w/what’s in the animals doing the shitting. And with humans there’s a ton of pharmaceuticals and PFAS. (Obviously the cows are eating a bunch of crap also.)

Lots of info online about bio sludge that can answer your question better than I. Since it was lawn fertilizer I’d prefer not to lay in the human shit while smoking doobies. (Plus it had arsenic, which while also organic, I like to avoid.)

I don't have the knowledge needed to evaluate the dosage
It's not an impossible task. Measuring with teaspoons and such will be a range, but it's possible to weigh the ingredients for more precise application that isnt really necessary in all situations but I can add some chemistry info later as approximations.

Right now the price of eggs is higher than cal mag haha
Not everywhere. I eat eggs quite often, and instead of a waste product, the shell is used. Reducing waste and repurposing that as a helpful resource.

But that's where the next recipe really shines. Calcium carbonate. That one is done in 2 hours not 1-2 days. See how much a couple pounds of calcium carbonate costs in your area. I'm sure you will be pleased.

I have a 5 pound tub. I use it for cleaning sometimes. It lasts so long, I have to find other uses for it.

Some large companies wont be pleased. They will want my account nuked. That's why I am avoiding using the brand name specifically.

The second recipe I will post later uses calcium carbonate.
After that (it's almost exactly the same) you all can complain about the cost of vinegar. 🤣 40 ml at a time? That will only make 100-110 liters of cal mag per bottle of vinegar. Make it cheaper!

I asked chat GPT to write a haiku based on your post. The result is inspirational.

Teaspoons and such gleam,
Tiny measures, sweet or spice,
Flavor's gentle hand.

It has to do with the food the animals eat. Herbivores, like cows, horses, etc. produce better manure for gardens and compost. Carnivores do not. I grew up in a farming community and no one ever used manure from carnivores for growing food for humans. One of the reasons, I was told, was that it was too hot. Back then, "too hot" meant that it was too high in nitrogen for most garden plants. Chicken manure was supposedly the worst because they eat insects, but I have since known folks who use it for plants like raspberries. Another reason was that some parasites and diseases could be passed on from animals to humans. I think that's less of a problem if the manure is well composted. My father mostly used cow manure for his vegetable garden. In other areas, he used commercial fertilizers.

They spread chicken shit on all the fields in New England. But now that I think of it that’s probably for growing feed for cows so they probably don’t give af what’s in it lol
