hello there, I am just starting to get into undercurrent systems. I have 2 questions. first being where on earth can I find 13 gallon buckets with lids that are not white. Blue would be fine but preferably black of course. Secondly my town in colorado has passed a law that one can only grow for 2 patients in a household. Therefor I can only flower 6 plants at a time, 3 veg and 3 flower per patient. What should my light layout be for flowering 6 plants with a homemade undercurrent? any and all info would be greatly appreciated

Thanks, Chester:boogie:

Good luck finding black pails Chester. I didn't see a one when I searched (extensively) about 6 months ago. I see TK's recent homebuild is also using white buckets so if TK can't find em...they more than likely don't exist.

IMO, the reflectix product works well to block light. I personally don't think the black buckets are necessary cus chances are you'll be covering them with reflectix anyway.

Dunno where ya live in CO but such laws are illegal. 1284 gave the right to the counties/towns to ban COMMERCIAL enterprises related to MMJ but NOWHERE does it say they have the right to limit your plant count/etc. as an INDIVIDUAL. Such rights cannot be revoked. That's why it was place into law as an Amendment.

check my DIY thread for some links. hope that helps

Home depot sells the totes called toughbox for $12 but they are not shaped the same a an undercurrent. DDs uses something similar available from Canada at $50 each plus shipping. I would do as posted and cover the tubs with some type of reflective material. I know home depot sells the bubble wrap stuff that is reflective like they use in sunshades for cars. Also in Colorado The law says that you can caregive for 5 patients. If you haven't read the law you should take the time and go to the CDPHE website and read it. If you read it really close there are a few gems in there that will also help you to increase your plant count. Be safe.
