I germinated and plated this a few days ago, is this normal growth in the seedling beginning stage? Or was it a bad seed?

Looks like it’s got “helmet head”. If the membrane at the top doesn’t break loose and let the cotyledons open in a day or so, moisten the membrane and then tease it off gently with a pin or knife blade.

look like it's updside down with the cotyledons inside the ground and the young root broken upward ... not normal at all

(can be saved by replacing the seed in the ground and burying it flush with the cotyledons and treating it as a clone with slightly overwatered soil for one to two weeks, so it can easily get water from the short buried stem while she take time to form new roots)

Damm, I thought the Cotyledon was stuck, but I think you're right, it's upside down, turn it over and bury the root, it might survive.

Yeah, that seedling definitely came up weird, it’s flipped the wrong way. What you’re seeing sticking up is probably the root, not the stem. It’s not toast yet though. Just dig it out gently, flip it the right way up (cotyledons on top), replant it with the stem just under the surface, and keep the soil moist. Basically treat it like a clone until it figures itself out.

The most worrying thing is that the root extremity seem it has been broken, and that it may take some time to form new root from the short stem once buried, i had a seedling like that also with the root broken and that flipped over after transplant and first watering few weeks ago, re-transplanted it, it started recovering after a week and half or so.
