What a pita it was trimming them though.heaps worse than previous grows.specially through the guts of the plant.instead of being like the branches in pics above the ones through the middle grew stringy like branches off the main branches…..I think I know what to do nxt grow coming up..be more agressive pruning those little suckers out.really clean them up better.there were heaps of them.lesson learned big time lol..I hated trim jail 😆was spose to do 4 but only done 2.I was like .I’ll do these in 4 hrs ..yeah right max..your not Edward scissor hands you know 😆..2 took that..I was outer there quick smart ha..

I’ll tell you a secret but keep this between you and me…. I throw away more bud than I harvest these days. I just can’t use it all. So rather than sit in trim jail the wife and I trim up the best parts and then I throw away 2/3 of the plant with buds still on it.

Trimming sux balls. Especially with arthritis. Love every other part of the hobby tho.

I’m with you. Don’t always toss it. I have a couple Rubbermaid totes full of 1gal ziploc’s of untrimmed branches from plants that were just not to my liking for whatever reason. They are there for hard times and I always end up giving some away. About once a year, I pull out a bunch of the oldest stuff and burn it. Not like smoke it…like take it to the burn pile. You’re not evil. Life is too short to smoke weed that is just ok If you can help it. There is an age where you hit that point. Can’t remember what age it was, but I am definitely passed it!

I definitely hash my frosty sugar leaves…I used to save the whole plant too. make tea with the leaves and shit like that. These days, I am fortunate and only smoke good flower and good hash if I can at all help it. If I saved all my plant matter, I would need a storage shed for it. Just the wife and I taxing my supply. We’re pretty serious consumers, but within a couple weeks, my sog will have over 20 testers flowering. Each one will drop around an ounce. If one’s flowers are meh, prolly won’t even get trimmed out. I just harvested 1 3/4lb of primo flower out of my 2x4 at the New Year. Haven’t even hashed those sugar leaves yet and those two plants are the best I have. Have to make choices…lol

Same here.I get pretty damn lazy not doing the bud leaf trim most of the time.i might try and bubble hash it before it dries ..resin galore off these plants..still a couple to do just about to hit 11 weeks.you can see in this pic the heads are starting to fall off if you zoom in …if it’s not blury 🤓

Final plants have been harvested and have now moved the nxt batch into the flower room but still in veg mode .around 42” from canopy and 28k lux .lst between 23-24 so that’s not bad.day 31 so in 5 days will b flipping and most likely up potting before then..ppm 470 with 70ppm of cal mag added and mono silic acid,go roots &humic acid..a little tacoeing going on and some leaf discolouration on a couple that was happening in the veg room but apart from that it’s all systems go.😀

You are saying day 31. From when do you start counting if i may ask?
I have seen different counting methods on this forum, from planting seed, sprouting, frist leaves, first true leaves etc.
For 31days your plants are looking nice, i like the stretch on your plants.
Wait, your light is 42" over the plants? From the tip i guess?
Well that would explain why mine stay short all the time. I need to check your light specs and compare...


Ok our lights have similar specs. I used 32" max.
I will try 40" for the next few days and see if i get more stretch. Thank you ;)

Sorry brother,I should of stated from seed.I’m still in veg and flipping in 5 days time..I’ve upped the intensity from 300 to 450 watts and will b dropping the light as they get use to it.just taking it easy with them .in 5 days light will b at 630 watt power draw from the wall and will eventually drop it to around 32” and then I will let the grow to it through stretch and should end up around 22” away …

Hmm ok, thats quite different from my first run. I am still new to my lights obvsly.
I went to 480W 5 days before flip, and to 680 like 10days after flip. Never going over 32" mostly being even under it.

Well it will b 5 weeks gone after lights turn off tomorrow but I have to go one more day now as I forgot to up pot them…mumbles to himself….I don’t want to b doing it in the middle of the night so yeah..one more day ain’t gonna hurt.plants appear to have adapted well to the extra wattage and the tacoeing is pretty much gone now and have the right amount of branching so soon as I flip I will b tipping them.I take the smallest amount of top off I can so not to upset them too much .light is bang on where I want it at 38-39” away and will lower it to 32” and will let them grow to it till they get to 22” away and if they go under that height i will start raising it.I think its good to just let the plants do there thing instead of lowering it .no stress that way.I will b reducing the day temps a little and moving night temps up just so they don’t stretch too much till stretch is over ,but usually this strain does stay short anyhow which is a blessing.🙏

Hi shaded.yes I will b topping them when the lights come back on this afternoon .I’d really like to let them grow,veg a little longer to get those nodes stacking more ready for flower but just don’t have the height to do that.thats the reason why I have to top them .just so I can keep the light at a good distance away from the gals.it works well slowing the stretch too ..

Fed the girls ,waited an hr then up potted them.generous amount of great white micos sprinkled in there holes before planting.bit of a prune of the lower leaves and bottom branches and topped.they average 16-20 branches ea plant.there will b some more branches to prune but I will wait to see at a later date..lights at 35” I will leave it there for a couple nites then lower it to 32”..humidity has risen and into the high 50s now..that’s not bad.tomorrow when I turn the light up it should get the room warming up quicker and getting to room temp and getting the rh down to mid 50s..all set and ready for the new bud show to begin..🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲
