DWC water level tips noob

I am about to transplant my seedling that has sprouted into the dwc bucket either hydroton.

The root has not reached the bottom of my rockwool cube though.

What water level should i have in the bucket when i transplant? And for the first few weeks?

Any tips in general about water level in DWC?

I personally wait until I have a tiny bit of root coming out the bottom of the cubes and then put then into my net pots. Then you can have the water about an inch from the bottom of your net pots and your popping air bubbles will hit the roots.
