I was thinking of doing a DWC garden with apx 24 to 48 plants.... what would be the pros and cons of running a dwc garden with this many plants???

It better be recirculating or you’ll be running bucket changes non stop. What size space are you dealing with? If it’s just a 5x5 or so then plant count is irrelevant you need to focus on canopy size and just fill that space.

I'd hope his space is bigger than 5x5 46 individual buckets gonna take a warehouse

I ran 12 5 gallon buckets the last time I ran hydro and it was a pain in the ass to keep up with the water dumps/refills

do RDWC and save yourself some pain

Pros: Great root development, Fast Veg, good yield, simple and effective flush

Cons: if temp or pH are off for any length of time, you will lose the entire unit, takes several runs to get dialed in, more organics=more issues, humidity

Keys: Chillers, recirculating system(Current Culture or DIY copycat), CHILLERS, enzymatic, nutes/ppm/EC, quality chillers and temp control in area where they are stationed.
