Hey all, so its been about 15 yrs since my last grow and wow! I forgot how much I love cultivating this beautiful plant. It all began when I scored 3 seeds after going through at least a pound. They were very light in color. Didn't look viable at all but low and behold.....3 ladies to rejuvenate my passion for growing. The tub on the left is the experiment.
Ok, on to the experiment.......15yrs ago I tried this after a night of wine and plenty of flower with a friend who teaches again for the university here. The idea was to have a complete, layered eco system within one container. Here's the setup.....
Bottom layer.......large airstones covering bottom of pot.
Next....................2-3in layer of river rocks.
Next....................screen layer, I used vynal window screen
Next....................substrate. I used a neutral potting mix with Dr Earth dry amendments.
Lastly..................watering tube in the corner to be able to dottom water directly into airgap
Outside...............2 airpumps running 4 stones
Fill with water to the bottom of soil layer and watch the bubbles lol. Anyhow, simply top off water level daily, add nuts as needed or keep organic and watch the babies grow!
A little low stress training and she's ready for the stretch. I keept this plant very small due space restrictions and yes she was angry due to recent transplant but perked up nicely the next day. No nuts so far only water and original dry amendments fron transplant.
BAM! Week 2 of flower, still hungry but progressing nicely. More to follow soon. Time for the workflow
