Feeding recommendations schedules for trees

Those of you who grow trees in 400 gallon pots you can sit under to read a book.
What do you feed em and how often. Please share.

If you want to grow trees in such a large amount, you should give trees a boost, by refreshing the top layer of compost annually in spring. Carefully scrape away about 5cm (2in) of compost from the surface and replace it with fresh compost - mix in some controlled-release fertilizer granules. Alternatively use a liquid feed at regular intervals.

Did you know up until about the year 2000, the Giant Pumpkin contest world record was at about 1200 lbs. From seed to harvest.
After that Organic growers began to compete.
Now the record stands at 2600 lbs +.
