Well, after a 20 yr break from the plant, recent job policy changes have allowed me to jump back in. While it’s awesome being able to order it in the mail, nothing beats homegrown. I’ve only had about 2-3 complete grows under my belt. Back in the early 2000s when I was a brand new broke ass 21yr old husband and dad. A few grows cobbled together with whatever I could make and/or afford.

Now 20 yrs later, I’m 23 yrs into my career, my job recently changed their drug and alcohol policy, so they no longer care about a positive thc drug test. And I have the money to not have to cobble stuff together. (But I still like to tinker)

So bought everything over a couple weeks in January.

Acinfinity
4x4 tent
Controller 69 Pro +
EVO8 light
T3 humidifier (supplied with homemade 10 gallon distilled water reservoir with auto controlled solenoid)
2- Cloudray S6 circulating fans
2- Cloudline S6 inline fans for intake and exhaust
2- Homemade screens

Sustainabliving.com
3’x3’ fabric bed
Blumat maxi automatic bed watering drip tape system (Supplied from homemade 15gallon reservoir)
Blumat tensiometer

Living Soil
Fox Farms Ocean Forest dirt as the base.
Buildasoil.coms 3.0 nutrient mix (added in at half normal strength per them)
Added worm castings
Added worms
Added pumice
Added compost
Used mostly BAS top dress amendments along with a homemade sprouted seed amendment
BAS 12 seed cover crop

Ethos feminized seeds
Apex R1 two on the right side of tent
Planet of the Grapes two on left side of tent.

Had issues with one of the seedlings and had to pop an extra seed. I think I made a bad choice in seedling dirt. Live and learn.

The two on the right and the one on the left front all got topped. The back left one grew way slower and got topped about a week later.

Wanted a way to direct fresh air up into the canopy. Had some foam board and an extra inline fan laying around. Used a cut up trash bag on the fan to direct air up. Used the foam board to connect to the 8” Inlet vent. Then redistribute thru 4 3” holes across the top of the bed.

I used filtered tap water for watering from the black container. I did magnetize the water with that homemade contraption for the first month. Not sure what it did. Maybe increased speed of growth when they were young.

Flipped to flower on March 24th.

The Apex definitely out stretched the Planet of the Grapes. Won’t do this again.

And that takes us up to current date. My thoughts right now are that the grow is going great. Have quite a bad fungus gnat issue, but it’s being taken care of with Buildasoils WDG3000 and sticky traps. My fault for not being proactive with IPM.

Next grow I’m going to do away with the fabric bed. Use that dirt in 10-15 gallon pots on a tray2grow or something homemade. And probably only do 2-3 plants.
With no screen next time, I just wanted a tent packed full of bud for my first grow back into the game.

Man you sure can grow well. Yes the more i add organic composted waste to my soil tub i'm seeing more gnats. Got a few right now nothing bad. I remember starting from scratch and making do. Congratulations on taking care of your family first. It's a fun hobby that pays for itself. Keep doing what your doing as you seem to have a green thumb for growing😉✌️

That living soil is alive and well my friend. Looks great! A tent full of bud you will receive. Very similar setup to mine. I’m also in a 4x4 with a 3x3 bed using BAS amendments and some local stuff as well. Why are you going away from the bed?

Well, due to the only place I can have the tent at the moment I don’t have the best access to one side. This makes it hard to deal with that corner. Plus, I’m just beginning to be able to do something that brings me great joy, in 20 years. Every aspect of it. So I want to do all the things. When I buy a different house, I will make sure it has plenty of room for a hobby. Like 3-4 tents deep hobby.

I wouldn’t worry about back corner much, I can’t access… any of my tents from behind or sides lots of crawling and I get it taken care of haha

I’m at 5 tents currently, all living soil, (BAS) … pro tip… it’s fuckin expensive hahaha

Here’s my living soil topic 👊👊

Not much going on other than making sure the water reservoir stays full. Treating with WDG3000 heavy the past week for fungus gnats. Let them get away from me before I started treating. At least got a few shots today with the cheap digital microscope I got. Works decent. Really need a microphone stand with a swing arm for steady shots.

Also got a neat video of some soil mites on an avocado I put in for the worms.

Your weed garden certainly is a success! Curious how many ounces you expect?
Also, are you in a situation where you could grow outdoors? Always curious about decisions to go inside or outside...

Thank you. Harvest weight? I have no clue really. It’s been so long since I’ve grown, and the few runs I did do, I don’t have experience for that. As long as there is enough to last me harvest to harvest, I’m good with it.

And not in a position where I can grow outside. The place where I can, I don’t spend enough time there, to make it worthwhile. I will eventually though.

Girls are trucking along. Pulled my humidifier out and cleaned it. No need for that anymore.

Over the last couple days I’ve done some major defoliation that I should have done sooner. A lot of bud sites between the screens. And I pulled a lot of the big fan leaves above the screens.

I do wish I had a tent full of the Planet of the Grapes. The smell coming off those two plants is phenomenal. These are pics of those.

The 2 Apex has some smell but not as strong. Those two are on the right side of the tent. It’s definitely a long stretching strain. Out paced the Grapes by far. The buds are definitely filling out though.

I opened up a little on my Blumat as well today. My meter was reading 144 and wasn’t watering. I also spread about 2.5 cups of BAS Bokashi Bloom on the plants. Will see what that does to them.

Also, any clue why some of the stems have the reddish color on them and some don’t?

35 days into flower today. Looks like they’re swelling a little maybe. Just a long waiting game from now to harvest I guess?

Looking good. Lol, yeah, some of the longest waiting you will do! Those two leaves, are they from different strains? The red could just be a genetic thing.

If it's just the one, I wouldn't worry over it. But, possibly could be start of mag deficiency.
