First Grow. White Widow, Blue Dream And 2 Free B's

Whats up guys, im new to the forum and to the hobby. Im doing this in a non friendly state so space is limited atm but im working on that. Right now im growing in a 4x4x7 tent. Growing 4 different strain (white widow, blue dream, amnesia haze & jack herrer). Amnesia and jack were free b's so i figured id give them a go before i used 2 seeds i paid for instead. Right now theyre growing under a mars hydro 300w led grow light. Yes, i know thats not nearly enough but in the next, id say 3 weeks, theyll be under 10 Cree cxb-3590s. I just needed something to get them going while i built and got everything together. Im going the DYI route on the COBs. I tried to cut no corners on the light as ive read thats the most important part when it comes to yields (which is what im here for). So here are some pictures of what i got going on and what theyre looking like as of now. I did run into some nute burn (i believe). Theyre in 5 gallon grow bags filled with happy frog and i think i just rushed the nutes. But i flushed them today so hope all is well. Also, i have already topped them once and plan to scrogg (not sure at what height yet any tips?). Not comfortable with lst yet. But still considering. Enough of my blabbing.. Here they are, day 26 from seed today.

If that's a 4x4 than yes it'll be tight. For 4. Unless you keep em small n flip early. I have 3 in 4x4 and it's a solid wall of green. The one alone is 3-1/2 ft tall and 2-1/2 to 3 ft wide. I litterally have to turn them so bud sites don't cover other bud sites.

In a 4x4 I can fit 16 5 gallon bags for a scrog. You got plenty of room. I would say lower the light about 8 inches more

My thing is yeah you may be able to cram 16 in there but you can get the same yeild off 2 plants. Why waste seeds at $10+ each? Nowadays seeds cost as much as the equip to set the room and that's if you're lucky enough to actually get the seeds. I jumped through hoops for over a month to get seeds in USA. Finally got lucky for $250 got 21 seeds. 16 plants would be tiny plants. Which by square meter could yeild the same and be quicker because you would have to flip them way early. Not saying you're wrong at all but from some standpoints 16 in a 4x4 is a serious waste.

It's all about your light. I do a sog and scrog. Next time try the seed bank on this site. It's easy to get seeds shipped to the us. I make clones and run large numbers. I mom my seed grows out for my clone runs. With enough time you can fill the whole 4x4 with one plant. The question comes down to how much you want to invest

I look forward to trying the bank on here. Nice setup. I have 3 in my 4x4 but were severely stunted then once I killed the bugs I let veg 5 weeks. I overestimated the space. Like I said and you proved it can be done obviously. I'm only running t5s with a 600w led to kick some red. Veg was all t5s.

I kinda want some of the seeds on this site but yes I'm always looking for seeds. Can't even get dirt bagseeds around here. Yes a list of places that will take prepaid usa debit card be nice to have.

Appreciate all the tips guys. Hopefully it all goes well with the 4 in there now and i dont run into as much space issue as im reading i will. But time will tell.. I know its strain specific but how long should i veg them considerig the space restraints? Also, i got my seeds off seedsman. Took about 2 weeks.. Bought 8 seeds for 90 bucks and got 4 free.

Not much has changed. Leaves have gotten a little worse from the nitrogen toxicity i ran into. But i flushed yesterday and will flush a few more times with just plain tap water (my water here is around 6.8-7.2). But here are some more pictures to keep the thread alive and for my personal log.

Got my cree cobs and what not ordered last night. Plants are growing well. Still fighting nitrogen toxicity. Been flushing with 2 gallons of tap water every watering. Run off ph is getting higher (was in the 4.3 area now in the 5.5 area) but i still have ways to go. Here some updated pictures on the girls. Also the tops are growing well from where i topped them but on one of them the middle stem started growing out right along with the other2 nodes. What do i do in that situation? Cut the middle stem off again? Its growing weird looking leaves. Picture below

Been awhile since ive updated. Got my Cobs in finally. Theyre day 43 from seed at the moment. Think i got the nitrogen tox down. Started them back on nutes today. Theyre looking good tho. Topped them a 2nd time also
