Yeah, I saw that on the news the other day. Sucks I know , but it looked like they had them all laid out in rows... Like growing corn or other veges...

i found the link you go to the map in the article you will see that this was done on a tiny patch a woods near two roads(not to mention they planted in rows) and doing anything that large in the middle of a town(let alone in florida) is asking for trouble..if you look north of the patch of woods there are hundreds of acres that they could have used instead, just another situation where the convenience and lazyness of the grower leads to a bust, all the time they spent digging holes and prepping they should have been looking for a better spot. i guess its natural selection, and common sense is king

I've ran an outdoor crop in the middle of a major city in florida. It just depends on where you plant them, and how well concealed they are. I never plant in rows and always plant near other plants. Always use really quick finishers.
