First time garden is in trouble and i dont have the experience to confidently identify the issue and resolve it please help!!!

Sounds like you’re in FFHF, which is primarily wood chips with poor drainage. I know the bag says it has “soil microbes” but this is all Mycorrhizae - which forms a network of fine filaments that increase the root’s reach, but don’t directly break down organic matter like bacteria or decomposing fungi. I’d guess that your medium has few if any benificary microbes to break down your fertilizer and provide nutrients.

Are you using tap water? It most likely will provide a fair amount of both Ca & Mg. Mg is a mobile nutrient and should be pulling from the lower leaves. Your plant looks like the growing tips show more yellowing (?)

Finally are you letting your pots dry out. In my experience HF tends to really hold onto water (it’s 60% wood chips). Overwatering looks a lot like nutrient deficiencies.

Yes you are exactly right I was overwatering my plants!! What a noob mistake lol. You have me intrigued however I was wondering what you were using for your medium any advice is greatly appreciated this is literally my first time growing any sort of plant and I'm 40 so I really appreciate all the help I will post some pics of the girls later.

I grow outdoors, so using the same soil year to year. The Fox Farm Ocean Forrest IMO is a much better soil than the Happy Frog. The consistency is what you’d expect from soil as opposed to the shredded bark in HF. But it’s not worth spending the ridiculous prices some people are paying. I can get a 1.5 cf bag for $12, so normally grab them. I see that FF has a new blend called “Cream of the Crop” (coco & perlite) and it’s $40 a bag. That’s a freaking joke! You don’t want to be buying the cheap Kellogg (which is giant wood chips) but there’s a ton of decent potting soils at $15 bag. Growing weed is just like growing other garden crops. So try and get local advice from garden clubs or Next Door about what’s available in your area.

The one difference is that you’ll want some perlite or other material to give you better drainage indoors. As overwatering is a major problem for new growers.

The pH might be off or different from the original pot it came from, until that balances out foliar feed it for couple weeks, it will bounce back.

Awesome thanks for the tip it helps a ton for a new grower!!!! I will definitely check whats local I dont have a local hydroponic stores so I am struggling atm but didn't think about garden clubs. I have some organic perlite on the way!!!

Looks like they have bounced back already... NICE. Expect those to grow another 2 to 3 feet when you flip, it's gonna be wall to wall flowers. Looking good.

It's simple process. I use a 32 ounce spray bottle and add about 2.5 ml of Cal Mag and/or about 2.5 ml of liquid Kelp to 32 ounces of water. I sometimes use both cal mag and the liquid kelp together. Spray the plants a light coating once a day. And that's it. You'll want to use bottled water, and not tap water. 2.5ml is half a teaspoon. You only need a light solution. Don't want to burn your plants. And it will dry before any potential light burns, especially if you have fans going. Again just a light mist on the leafs, not wet. Some will say to spray underneath the leaves, wouldn't hurt to do that too. And that's my practice when I see shit happening during a transplant. I sometimes just do it with just the liquid kelp for strong sturdy leaves. You can spray up to week 3 of flower. Any liquid kelp should be good. I don't like to use Epsom salts because it will leave a white residue on your leaves. Not good for photography. So it's one of the rare times I cheat with the bottled stuff. Just for the foliar sprays... Don't tell anyone! I'm an organic snob.

Got it mostly from BAS and some old timers at ICMag. Worked out for me first time I tried it, so it's something I try to do every grow.
