I have found that hosing them down with water Keep them in check. And I mean blasting the fuck out of the plant! But it depends on your environment! Water is the only thing I spray my plants with! I am lucky!

And can’t you use a black light to spot mold?
THIS is exactly what I was looking for!!! Thank you so very much for that little "nugget" Chucky! (pun intended) I just so happened to have a UV light on my loupe, ran right over to check, and things look good! I don't see anything that jumps out at me. I will continue as intended carefully just to be on the safe side, but feel much better about things now.
......freaking black light!!! I knew I should have kept those things from my teen years! 😂

Also...never heard of anyone else power-washing their buds. I'm in good company 😎

Still no signs of pests or rappelling worms 🤘

I trimmed and jarred the main cola of my Northern Lights today after feeling that it was quite dry. It isn't much...but after a few hours, the jar is around 60% humidity. This was only a 2.5 day dry time for that bud, and it still seems like it's a bit too dry. My tent has been from 70-80ºF, with humidity 50-60%. It's really been hovering around 75F and 55% most of the time, but fluctuates some. I am going to attempt to check the rest of what I chopped yesterday tomorrow, and likely jar some of that too to see how it fares. I was anticipating a far longer dry time, but I suppose with my temps and humidity...and wet trimming most of it...it just dried faster. On the bright side, what I did jar to this point seems half decent.

UPDATE:
I've got 2 out of 3 plants completely dried, trimmed, and curing. It is far less than I was hoping for, but am fortunate for what I did manage to salvage. Not worth weighing, but I'd guesstimate around 1/2-3/4 of an oz total for the 2 plants...One of which was heavily damaged and trimmed.

I've still got my Amnesia Haze to harvest, but I estimate another 2 weeks or so until that one is ready. I've been trying to limit the spread of its wpm and battle the moths for a month now (with acceptable results so far), so it will be a glorious day when it's ready to chop. It is by far the tallest plant of the bunch being sativa dominant, and I am debating on giving her one last nute feeding today and then using water until she is ready. The pistils are just beginning to turn orange.

I ended up bringing my Amnesia Haze into my tent about a week ago. I was very reluctant to do it, but the weather here forced my hand. High temps and stifling humidity day after day would have likely ruined my last plant. If it wasn't the weather, it would have been the critters.

So far the plant has been absolutely loving it! Where I thought I was almost done and the pistils were starting to turn...it seems to be going through another growth spurt. I see lots of new bud growth every day. I think that it's foxtailing, so I lowered the light intensity and gave her another couple hours of dark (16/8). I've stopped giving her nutes almost 2 weeks ago now, and plan on just riding it out with water till harvest.

Well...I will likely never try flushing my plants ever again. I'm worried about getting this girl to the finish line. She is still producing lots of white pistils, and I obviously stopped feeding her WAY too early.
A couple of weeks ago, I noticed that the new sugar leaves during a growth spurt were very dark and distorted. I assumed that my previous flush was insufficient and didn't remove all nutes properly, so I ran alot of water through the pot last week to make sure it was properly flushed. During the last week, the leaves have been yellowing VERY fast. I know that I stopped feeding her too soon, and that the last flush probably exacerbated the issue...but does anyone advise another nute feeding this close to help her out? It seems that she still has a ways to go. Does this kind of yellowing usually push others to harvest before ruining the plant?
This plant is somewhere around 14 weeks old right now. Trichomes are approx 55-65% cloudy.

Nice fox tails! Google fox tailing in cannabis. Did the UV light work for you?

The UV light did indeed work for my Northern Lights harvest to scout for mold! It is cured and I've been vaping it for about a week now and love it so far. It's all head high and no drowsy-ness or couch lock, which I like. It also has decent taste for a first harvest.

The foxtailing I'm pretty sure is due to my moving this plant indoors a month or so back. I don't have the best outdoor lighting at my home and I think the mix of more direct hours of artificial light and the ambient heat from the first week indoors spurred the foxtailing issue.

I've read somewhere that foxtailing can potentially make the harvest window a bit less definitive. The new growth will always be less ripe than the flower underneath, and may even continue past the optimal harvest window. The harvesting timeline has been tough for me to pin down to begin with being so green (poor pun intended), but this makes things even more murky.

....about 3 weeks ago, the main cola pistils were turning orange and curling in. You can't even see them anymore under all the new growth.

I picked up one of those UV flashlights also! Was skeptical! Works like a charm! L O L! Especially if you have a lot of plant material to cover! Yeah, I’ve never dealt with FoxTails.

Well, off the bat, flushing in soil is a no go, you can get the same effect you are looking for through multiple water only feeds. Flushing really is crazy counterproductive. It’s yellowing because what little n was left in the soil to keep things green while in bloom nutes has been effectively washed out. It’s a wonderful way to start a tailspin for the uninitiated. The fox tailing is caused by a few things, but in tents, it’s usually heat related. For your next run, start all of your nutes at half strength. It’s way easier to dial up to what a plant wants, as opposed to giving it too much and having to fix a toxicity on top of other problems. Feeding a hungry plant, easy. Feeding a sick plant? Waaaaaaay harder.

Initially, I did exactly that...just fed water for a couple of weeks. I figured it was close to done. Then the foxtailing just took off when I brought it inside, causing lots of new growth along with what seemed like distorted and dark sugar leaves. That's when I ran lots of water through it, thinking that there were pockets of nutes just sitting in there causing issues. I also experienced some kind of leaf burn for a week or so, which made me think that a flush would help. Just a classic rookie mistake it seems...making decisions after sampling my cured buds lol.

Now, it looks like I'm yet another couple of weeks from harvest. My concern is that she's not gonna make it that long. I'm going to try to give some light nutes to keep her going, but at what point should I chop if the yellowing continues? I feel like I'm pretty close to that point already.

Also saw that you got that new ACI charcoal filter. Congrats! Hope the lotto tickets had the same outcome!

Oh it’ll make it buddy, just don’t get too nutty trying to over correct. The plant may have more things show up, but just work a normal wet dry cycle with the nutes you should be using and try to limp it through. I’m sure you can make it happen homie. I have seen waaaaaaaaay worse examples make it.
And thanks man! I was stoked! I didn’t win shit with the tickets hahahaha 👊🏻

Thanks for that. I was beginning to worry, but will stay the course 👍
I just got a 4" ACI filter myself. Had to skimp a bit on the rest of the setup for now because children are a damn money pit, but love the idea of that refillable filter. Going all ACI when I finally upgrade.

Not a bad idea, their gear is really some of the best available. I’ve had a cloud line6 going for almost 4 years of none stop use.
