Four weeks tomorrow

First grow, on a balcony, bag seed so unknown. Started directly in soil with one seed May 18, figuring nothing would come of it. Eleven days later, I had my first seedling and so I planted a few more (May 29), and some of them germinated (June 2). Several seedlings were discarded ( ) to have a manageable number. My ultimate goal was two plants I could learn with. Today, I thinned the herd and now I have enough 3 gallon pots to transplant 2 of the plants that are doubled up and each will have their own pot. Once sexed, I hope to have less than 4 plants to contend with and they will be transplanted to 5 gallon fabric pots.

I’ve never grown anything from seed, so if these flower and produce smokable or good for infusion buds, even one, I will have a great sense of satisfaction...and a solid starting point. It’s just for me. It’s been 7wks 2dys since the first bag seed was dropped in soil. They’ve grown. My son actually looked at them again today (he’s 19) and said “they’ve really...grown.” Yes they have son, and this is good.

And then there was one. My one female plant in the end. I’d estimate her to be in about week 2-3 of flower. One of my girls sadly broke off one of this girl’s bud sites, but there are many others.

I also found a couple of seeds in my dispensary weed and planted those. They’re doing well for now. No idea what gender they are but assume they will start maturing after (I have read) a 3-week minimum veg. We will see. She’s so much happier having all the sun and glory.

Week 4 (estimated) of flower of my bag seed balcony grow. Unknown sativa grown in western MA and harvested last year. She had about a 9-week veg period with her siblings who turned out to be male. She’s all spread out now within the space she has available.

This little bubba kush came from seed I found in dispensary weed. Her male sibling was given the axe. She’s in maybe week 2 of flower.
