So I managed to break two branches so far, and I’m feeling pretty good about that after supercropping, bending, and tying down like 64 tops!!

I love the sight of freshly tied plants ha ha ha!

So.

I think I’m going to flip next week…

That makes 6 weeks since the first leaves showed up!

I adjusted my tie downs due to the growth rate being pretty crazy ha ha.

I also ended up breaking like three branches, BUT they all broke ABOVE the next node!

So it’s basically an aggressive topping ha ha ha!!!

I tried topping down to just two main branches, and it worked well, but this time I topped down to four…

Love the way plants can be trained how you want them!!

So.

I untied all the branches yesterday to try and get a little vertical growth before flipping since I have SO much head room in this new tent!

I’m finding out that when running coco, against public opinion, that pot size makes a big difference!

Many people have told me that you can grow giant plants in one gallon pots with coco, and that’s probably true, but it’ll take you 800 years of veg time ha ha ha!

The one in the five gallon that I have, as soon as I moved it from a smaller pot, the leaf size increased, and the growth rate took OFF!!

You can just tell by the branches that the smaller pots grow just fine, but the branches are wispier haha.

Anyways…

Everything is looking good in week 6 of veg, and I’m going to flip next week I believe, but don’t have an exact date yet.

I’ve been waiting for today to setup my automated watering setup just to see how it goes to water small amounts 3-4 times a day.

Keep you posted!!

Side note…

If you guys want to try New Millennium or Silicium, or Plagron products, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you go to JUGDEALERS.NET/SAMPLES and request some stuff!! They reeeeeaaalllyyu hook you up and all you gotta pay is shipping!!! I definitely recommend the additives like Winter Frost, Silicium, PK Apatite, Decision, and Ruby!

Decision jumpstarts your plants into flower, and your week 3 looks like week 5!!

Just saying….if you’re running coco or hydro, and want to try some really great stuff, go check it out!!!!

I’ve tried mainlining as well, but I feel like just aggressively topping down to the third node, and keeping an extra node on the second topping, is definitely the way to go!!

Sooo many good branches!!!

Today I started up the drip irrigation system!!

I’m really interested in seeing how high frequency feeding does vs hand watering!

I’m feeding a slightly lower EC, using recharge, and FF Sledgehammer to mitigate any salt build up issues that might result from not getting any runoff…or much runoff.

All of it sounds good in theory, and I’ve seen the benefits in other peoples gardens, but I think the true test will be when I fire it up running these super cool 2 gallon fabric pots that are the same diameter as a one gallon, but tall!!

I know that nobody seems to agree, but I like to put 5-8 plants in a 2x4 so I don’t have to scrog 2 plants that veg for 3 months!

Speaking of which, I was going to install the trellis net, but every time I put it up, I take it down because I just don’t understand it!

I understand the concept, but unless you’re running one or two plants, and trying to spread them wayyyyy out, I don’t see the benefit.

After untying the branches, they’re all starting to grow vertically finally hahaha.

I think I’m going to flip them on Monday or whenever this batch of feed runs out.

I also forgot that I didn’t top the smaller plant a second time on the two main tops, and now they’re growing…like two main tops and I don’t know how I feel about it yet!!

These are the first plants that are smelly in veg as well, and I’m hoping that means that rainbow sherbet and super boof are as terpene rich as folks say they are!! 🤞🏻

We shall see!!

P.S.
My buddy just got four gallons of feed from Jug Dealers as a sample!!! Told them we had all the additives and wanted to try their bases!! Whoa!! Cost $40 shipping!!

It’s flip day!!!!! Because I got impatient overnight ha ha ha!!!

56-63 days from now, ill hopefully have the intensely aromatic smells and flavors that I’ve been promised this run!!

These two strains were recommended to me for the terpenes, and his words were quite literally…”If you don’t get some intense smells by late flower with these, there’s nothing anyone can do for you!”

Last run the plants looked great, but the smells were lacking. You wouldn’t of even known I had a garden…even in the same room as the tent…with no carbon filter ha ha ha.

Anyways…

I think it’s funny how indoors when you switch the lights, it seriously looks like the plants push out entire new leaves overnight ha ha ha.

Getting a little full for day 3 ha ha ha.

Starting to wonder if I’m going to have to cull a plant to make room….

I noticed that the smell is a lot stronger than usual even with no buds last night.

I was also taking a stoned poll from my buddies about what was the one thing equipment or nutrients wise that really took their indoor grow to the next level, and I heard some pretty interesting stuff, but now I’m wondering what YOU GUYS would say!!

So if you read this, post your answer!

Aaaand THEYRE OFF!!!

Hahaha.

Today is pretty much the end of week one, and the stretch is in full effect!

This is the time when your girls start to become totally unrecognizable from their veg forms, and I love it!

Still the RS11 smells really strong when agitated, and there aren’t any flowers yet hahaha.

I went a little more aggressive with pruning off the little stuff underneath the canopy this run, and probably up to like the first three or maybe four nodes instead of the two I normally try to stick with. This is because I’ve found that when you heavily train these plants, they grow like 10-15 nodes when it’s all said and done vs like 7-8 untrained.

Anyways…

I’m interested to see how this all pans out, and I’m really excited to see what kind of terps these baby’s put out!!

I’ve been fine tuning the drip irrigation system a billion times as far as volume per feed, and feeds per day….holy shit…didn’t know it’d be so hard to nail down hahaha.

I finally settled on 5 total feeds, and I’m running in coco/perlite with extra perlite than normal so that I can feed to a little runoff with every feed and they’re still happy about it hahaha.

I’ll keep you guys posted, but so far…the growth is off the charts!!

And OF FREAKIN COURSE there just HAD to be one super sativa leaning pheno 😠

Can you spot it! Hahaha

You guys know that feeling when you’re boiling water, and you take your eyes off of it for a minute to look at your phone, but then the pot starts foaming up and boiling over?

That’s how this is starting to feel hahaha.

The high frequency fertagation has just taken the growth rate to a place that I didn’t even think was possible!!!

This is now just a PSA for those thinking about drip irrigation running coco/perlite hahaha.

Lastly…

If you guys haven’t already, 24/7 gardening supplies for fabric pots is the best place to get pots.

They’re like a dollar and a half and come in all different sizes.

I just got some tall 4 gallon and 2 gallon!

Really cool stuff!

Still chugging along at the end of week two, and everything looks great so far!

Only weird thing is that the stretchy plant has really long petioles (leaf stems), and it’s getting a lot of light…

So I think it’s genetic maybe? 🤷🏻

Everything is chugging along at the first day of week three, and the plants seem to be loving life right now!

I’m super excited for the next few weeks though…as you could imagine ha ha.

My only real concern is that the stretchy pheno of the Rainbow Sherbet has pretty shit internodal spacing…
IMG 4395

…but at least it’s super healthy, and has lots of tops…

BUT ALSO…Silicium aka mono silicic acid is so incredibly great if you train your plants aggressively! I swear it makes branches break proof ha ha ha. Before they firm up, you can pretty much bend them in half and they won’t break ha ha ha!

The two smaller plants are finally starting to look decent, but the smallest plant had to have a lot taken off because it had a ton of wispy little branches and leaves in the way of the other plants, but this is a plant that I was going to throw away so it’s all a win at this point ha ha ha.

Overall, I think it’s fun growing inside, and the fun little challenges you can put on yourself!
Image

I’m pushing the limits of what folks say you can grow in a 2x4 tent not because I don’t believe them, but because it’s fun to find out for myself…because a lot of times when someone says you can’t do something on here due to a bad experience that they had…just means that they did something wrong, and we hate to blame user error ha ha ha!!

Week three is in full swing, budlets are forming, and the stretch…is getting annoying ha ha.

This is when things start to get fun!

I’ve never been a good judge of plants, and how they’ll turn out from early on…I just see shit node spacing and panic, but a lot of times I’ve been surprised by how they still manage to fill out somehow ha ha ha!

I accidentally left my drip pump on yesterday after changing a few watering event times, and came back to them getting like 2 gallons each in the middle of the day ha ha.

I also just got a little 2x2 to start seeds in, and I’m hoping I’ll be able to veg for a couple weeks in it…I have NO IDEA how these guys grow a pound in a 2x2…unless it’s really tall maybe. 🤔

Stay tuned because things are about to finally pick up!!

Every time I say “They’re definitely done stretching for the most part…”

I unzip the door to madness ha ha ha.

IMG 4447

Things are looking good, but one plant that was damaged in late veg is lagging behind a bit.

The taller ones are getting frostier, and it’s oh so exciting ha ha.

Stay tuned ✌🏻

Still stretching by the day!

Today is officially week 4!

Keeping the PPFD lower than normal at around 600-800 has really been a lot better for the plants this cycle compared to the last run where I blasted them with everything that I had hahaha.

Buds are starting to fill in, and definitely have the typical OG structure as far as I can tell so far.

Trying to decide if defoliation would be smart, but I always get a little more gun shy in flower hahaha

Today was the first day I took plants out in weeks!

I ended up stripping down the smaller plant because it got leafy, and I figured if it hurts it, doesn’t matter really ha ha.

But I took a photo of one of the nicer plants and it’s the Super Boof…

I gotta say that I was worried about this plant at the start, but I get SO excited when I seed bud structure like this going into week 4!!

Really excited to see what happens next!

Holy moly…
