Hello! Planning to pick up a new light but can’t decide between the Gavita 1700e or the Timber Redwood VS. Cost is not an issue, just looking for the best of the two! Planning to use it in a 4x4 growing in soil.
Also, could a guy get away with putting a Timber Fatty VS into a 4x4? I understand it’s built for a 5x5 but would that extra light be detrimental? Thanks!

Your running a tent unless your going with co2 i think you are overkill. 30w/sq ft. Should be plenty

I would go gavita. But I think you need to buy the controller seperate.

Either of these lights will need to be dimmed and both are good options.

The spectrum on the gavita is blue heavy and will keep plants squat. The timber I believe you can get in different spectrums so that's something to consider.

I agree too! Extra light with those powerful fixtures can def be detrimental....
maybe expand to 5 by5 ? 😁
