Genetic defects or regular plant growth?

I had a plant which was full of defects and I threw it in the fire. Now I have my new plant 10 days old coming from same seed bank. Is this a defect? The first set of leaves true leaves have leaves growing out of their node. There's leaves growing where you see the red marks. That's a defect is it not?

Thanks, I've never seen one grow like it. I've got the coyt then true leaves but in-between the coyt and true leaves I have new leaves growing out it's v. Then of course the top of the plant which looks like it's right. After true leaves but before the 3 fingered leaves it some growth.
