Hi guys, when making cannabutter, does the recipe mean, say, 1/4 oz of oven dried or just cured bud? This will obviously make a difference to the strength of the finished product.

Cheers, and happy growing.

I'm making 2 pounds cannabutter coming up soon, and while everyone has their own system this is mine:

I'm going to crumble & de-carb 4 or 5 oz of bud (I forget what I can fit in my little slow cooker, I think it's 4 oz) at 240° for 40min

Then I'm going to add them to the already melted 2 lb (8 sticks) of butter in crock pot, I usually use coconut oil but I bought butter that was on sale for this cook

Then I'm going to slow cook it overnight for 10 - 12 hours, it stays just under 200° in the slow cooker on low

Then I will strain it through cheesecloth portion it out into 4oz cups and freeze it, this will make a lot of cookies over the holidays :) hope this helps, good luck!
