Grinders & Kief

I am in a Cooking with Cannibas class at a local University. The instructor expressed that you should never use a pocket (round) grinder and that the kief that is collected in the bottom is useless after a day or two. My experience says different.

Curious, what are your thoughts?

If trichome heads were useless after a couple days, then explain dry sift haha... but I assume he means cooking with it, cant say I have experience cooking with grinder kief..

What kind of grinder do you use?

I’ll inquire if it is specifically related to cooking. He seemed pretty passionate about it.

Totally useless after 48 hours.

The advice is to send all this useless stuff to me for the proper disposal otherwise you risk a federal punishment

If the grinder screen is too small a mesh to let the heads fall through, then he might be right! Just a bunch of contaminant! You should be able to check your kief out with a Loupe and look for heads! Just like in sifting! Hash is mostly heads, separated from contaminant! Then the heads are melted down! And it keeps it its potency for a hell of a lot longer than a few days!

I personally use the Wak-it Grinder (that's what she said lol) it was a game changer.. which happens to also have an addon to collect that "useless" powder lol, But then they would not be chopped just beat up a bit...Fluffily Perfect
