I would want more blue in veg, but that looks interesting for flower.

Am I missing something in that video? Because it doesn't show that blues are the go to for veg. Did I miss something?

My Mars Hydro Spectrum is below. A spike in blue around 450nm and reds from 600 to 670 or so. But this already have a very small amount of blue.
19.4% red
78.5% green
2.1% blue

I have highlighted the 77.6 which is it's CRI, which is actually pretty terrible.

These new lights will be 97 CRI which means this is very close to natural light which is 99CRI (100 is the sun). This is awesome for growing, or at least I'd expect it to be. I'm glad I will get to experiment a bit. I have two options for 97CRI, 30K and 35K. We built samples of each that we will not use for customer orders. So it's either scrap, or we give them out to whoever wants them.

I found the blue limiting stretching and making for denser nodal spacing without sacrificing yield interesting.

But yes, in general that light sounds v interesting for growing.

All 3 are now in flower! Day 34 from breaking thru the soil. Just shy of 5 weeks of seedling/veg.

and, my accidental top is flowering even, but just a science experiment at this point.

I installed 2 of the 4, 30K, 97CRI lights today. I’m planning to put another 2 on the other side.
They are 20W each with a premium COB. I couldn’t tell you the equivalency to any other grow light, but I’ve got them each at 1800 lumens.

I’ve got them installed angled on one side of my mars hydro at the moment. We shall see how they fair there.
It’ll be interesting to see what they do!

I just know what mA is programmed to the COB and what our testing has shown in our goniophotomer.

Got the other 2 installed. Now to monitor the plants for too much light. I can’t imagine another 80W of power will hurt too much, but when I look up ideal umols that cannabis likes, I’m exceeding it.

But, so far so good.

They all look like they’re enjoying the new lights! They’ve grown a ton in the last 2 days, which I’m sure some of it is the lights, but they also all entered flower recently too.

Friday update. Fungus gnats came back, I must not have kept up with the BTI long enough. I’m back at it again! This time I’ll keep going with it each feeding for the next 3 or 4 weeks.

Everyone looks healthy to me tho. Need to water today or tomorrow AM.

Adults gnats are nonexistent when I open the tent. I assume they’re all lurking as larva in the soil now. Must keep BTI and hydrogen peroxide spray going.

other than that, Bluetooth and carm look good. Magnum showing some yellowing leaves. I assume it’s mag deficiency or something. That strain must just crave more of something than the others.

I say that as the soil mix and feedings have all been the same for all 3 plants.

See the pics for reference, two dif angles

Sir, what is your ratio on hydrogen peroxide spraying?

2 more questions, I have the exact same pots except mine are white airpots. Exactly how frequently are you watering them and how much water are you giving. Are you adding more nutrients and what are they? My plants are 1 month into flowering and doing nicely but they seem to be not getting enough potassium. I got some additional nutrients yesterday at the hardware store and will add -- not too much at once. (2nd question) what is your humidity? I have a 10X10 room with an air con unit and fans going. My humidity has really gone up and have ordered a dehumidifier. I'd like to get that number down. Thanks so much in advance for your answers and if I can clarify anything just let me know. Stay safe

I believe I was using 1:4 Peroxide to water.

You can see my grow logs HERE. Much of the info you're looking for is here. I use VPD for targeting the humidity and temp levels. Having high humidity isn't necessarily bad, as long as you also keep the temp up. Just be careful of night time temps dropping and condensation from it. My temp hangs in the 22-25C range and humid in 50-60 range.

But, I'm watering every 4-5 days or so. I end up giving about 2.5L to each plant, with about .8-1L of runoff. So each one retains about 1.5-1.7L of water each feeding.

I have the yellow, #3 pots. I'm not sure what size the white ones are. I don't see them on their site. The yellow have a 2.4 gallon capacity.

I feed with Fox Farm Trio, and try to mostly match the ratio to the week of my grow per their chart at a dose of 1/2 the strength of their chart right now. I started at 1/4 and ramped up. I'll likely try 3/4 dose this next water, likely tomorrow or tonight.

So.....I’m thinking the Bluetooth is pretty forgiving for nutrients. Carm and Magnum must need different nutrients or different amounts, and are going yellow.

Bluetooth - all fine and nice and green
Carm - some older growth is yellow, new is green
Magnum - all older growth is yellow, new is still green tho

Last watering I bumped up the dose from 1/2 strength to 2/3 strength, continued BTI and Epsom salt, 1/4tsp/gal

I’ll keep monitoring it tho. The buds all look fine and are growing/fattening.
