Tonight’s update:

E0B30985 FCF7 4924 8A6D 497706C5BD2F

They were getting a little bushy, so I did some trimming and training:

They’re all looking good, though one of them is dwarfed. She may pick up during flower, so I’ll keep her around.

Here’s some side shots:

I’m debating on flipping this weekend or next. This weekend would be 7 weeks since seeds were sowed, so about 5 weeks of veg. The roots are starting to come out the bottoms and cling on the wicks, so I don’t really want to keep moving them in and out at this point.

Plus, I may have issues with the height of the clone.

Speaking of clones:

They’re still alive and kicking.

More or less the same. They’re continuing to grow and looking good. Clones are still alive. I’m probably going to set up the scrog net today and maybe do a final defoliation without removing them, and then sometime in the next week flip to flower.

Looking good. See lots of orange. Your practicing LST. 👍

Hope you get some good photos for the next grow and try out everything you learned this grow. 😝

Added the net tonight, fished the tall clone through, and adjusted the light timer to begin the flowering schedule.

As for the clones, they all have new growth and 2 out of the 3 seem to be doing okay. Tomorrow I’ll be moving them to my vegetable tent just to keep them under a light (though it’s not very good). Hopefully they’ll survive until I can get them into a freed up tent with a real light setup.

Busy busy. 👍

Can’t wait to see the buds

Have you changed up your feeding? I don’t just switch from one to the other. I lower the grow and add half the bloom just to transition smoothly. Trying to get better with nutes and diags with member help.

Check ya later

I haven’t changed yet. I’m waiting for them to finish their current buckets worth of nutrients first (prob another few days - I put in a bit more than necessary last feeding).

When I do, though, I’ll be going full strength (well, lower end of the full range spectrum) since they’re being bottom fed, so it’s not going to absorb as much / as quickly as if I were watering from the top. At least that’s my hypothesis. Seemed okay with my other grow that’s in week 7 of flowering.

The silver alert in the top corner is just so darn big. I’m weaving the tops along the net as best I can, but idk how well that’s gonna work lol

Over all they seem happy, and today is their first full day at 12/12

Don’t actually weave the branches. Just tuck down. Keep bud sites open.

Looking good. Love the orange clips. I keep losing mine in all the green. Need to take some off.

BTW once the branch has committed to the bend remove the clips. Clips and wire isn’t permanent. Was it you I posted a pic of the instructions for?

Looking good man. 👍

Still going strong. Not much to report on tonight. I’ll probably be changing out the reservoirs tomorrow or Friday and start them on the new nutrients I’ve been using in my other tent.

Removed the training clips the other night, and just been tucking/moving the clones branches through the net.

The trustfall babies should be getting to the top of the net in the next few days.

As for the clones:

They seem to be enjoying their new spot for now. By the time my 4x4 is finished, these should be ready to put in there to continue their veg cycle.

Sorry for the messed up angles 😅

I had to raise the lights all the way as the silver alert clone had climbed higher than the light height.

I also turned it up a notch (I believe it’s at 60% now) since I raised it another 5 or 6 inches.

Did some more tucking where I could. The clone and gg4 x Cinderella man have both grown so well together that it’s near impossible to tell which top belongs to which plant when you get near the middle of them without looking underneath.

Overall I think they’re all doing well. Just gave them a feeding tonight, and other than that, I’ll keep netting as much as possible.

Would like to know more detail about how you feed them with the wick system. Do you wait for the water trays to dry up, keep them topped off, or maybe empty them and refresh? I want to try growing this way, and was wondering how you do it.

I keep them filled, usually a half gallon every 2-3 days. I could put more in, but I get anxiety if I see a bunch of water in there 😅

If you wait for them to dry, you’ll have to water from the top to get the wicking action working again.

If you’re fast enough with swapping the buckets out, you shouldn’t need to top water when you change them out. If you’re washing them then putting them back, a medium top watering won’t hurt anything (since it’ll run off right into the reservoir and probably needed to get the wick action going again.

The reason is because the soil won’t get super saturated this way, so it dries out very quickly.

Thank you! Another question, sorry if you've already covered it, but do you mix in nutrients in the same amounts as you would if top watering?
