Here we are. Spring.

My attempt to start the spring off will be 4 autoflower strains in a greenhouse with living soil.

Introducing the cast...

Grow diary autoflowers living soil greenhouse

Cream - DeeLite - Mandarine - Devil XXL

I germinated 2 devils to gift one to a friend. I won't be following both of them in this diary.

The mandarine barely had a tail. The devil had a great one.

I put seed starter soil into decomp pots. Pushed a little hole with a marker and sprinkled Mycorrhizal in the holes.

I like to plant them roots down because that's what makes sense to me.

The first omen I got that this might go poorly, first day I put up the greenhouse, 65 outside got to 93 inside. I'll need to manage this

DeeLite and both Devil XXL have sprouted

18/6 lights. Plastic bottle domes. Watering when almost dry with a dropper.

I'm including both devils because I haven't decided which to keep.

Still nothing from Cream. Sad...

Mandarine is... through the soil but not above ground

DeeLite is going well.

Devils are both ok. One is stronger than the other.

Three days go by. No changes to anyone.
Cream is out of the story. I dug it up today and found half a seed casing and nothing else. I'll try another one.

Mandarine is still just leaves. No stem at all.

I dont know what's going on there. Any help would be appreciated.

Devil XXLs have done nothing. I could post a new pic but I'd just ask you to scroll up to the last post.

Today's real concern is the soil surrounding DeeLite. It as 2 kinds of mold I think. But only on the outer ring where my water bottle bottom dome was.

The soil is basic seed starting mix. I'm not sure what to do here.

Looks normal- first few days maybe a week is spent building roots all the growth is underground , patience they will take off

But what of the mold issue?

The leaves staying on the soil is normal? I would have expected some sort of height.

I give up the idea that autos will survive in a greenhouse. Especially because they didn't start very well.

The Devil XXL's are the sole survivors. They will live in the tent from owever long they want. Everyone else can veg around them.

The greenhouse might get a Durban Poison or two. Don't quit my thread yet. It's no longer autos in a greenhouse... its now autos AND a greenhouse.

Might even include the garden when it starts picking up

Is this nitrogen abundance paired with overwatering?

They finally dried enough to water. Just water. I think I need a flush. I fed them in brand new soil. Probably too hot of a combo. Man, these autos are having such a bad time. From seed, nothing but hiccups.

Hopefully they perk up and carry on.
