I can't cut her today right before lights on because of some scheduling conflict so it will be tomorrow. Also picked up a wireless microscope so we will see if it can see trichomes better than my macro lens. Should arrive tonight.

A few final pictures from today. I think she's ready. Close ups not from microscope. Will post those when I get it.

I received the microscope. Easy setup but very hard to get a good solid picture hand held. Some areas have very little amber while others have it. I'd say it's close to harvest and probably be OK to harvest tommorrow.

I have a digital microscope and it fits in a microphone stand I had laying around. It has a boom arm so I can extend into the tent. The mic stand will hold the microscope still when you turn off your fans. The hardest part is getting into focus. They need to make the microscope with a fine focus adjustment to refine the focus easier. The microscope also has a cool app for taking photos.

You did pretty well for holding it by hand!

Here is a cool photo I took of one of my plants with the microscope and the stand.

Thanks for the tips. Good to know it's not supposed to be by hand. 😊. Mine came with a small stand but no fancy boom. Mine just holds it still to set on a table, I do shake to much holding it and I have to look at my phone while I hold it. I'll have to definitely come up with a better solution.

That's a really frosty sugar leaf! Trichome density is superb.

I bet a long thick shipping tube container with some rocks to stabilize would work well. It would fit into most small spaces. You could even set it on a tile with some lubricant and fine tune the position(I'm high)I don't even think my scope has a focus wheel, just the zoom which I set to 50x, the minimum, just so I could get a clear shot. Lots of oof shots handheld.

Regarding my microscope. It's those cheap tubular ones I think which I think is definitely worth their $30. I had ordered a wired version my last grow and it was a pia to set up. Sent back. This new wireless one is wifi and you just join it's network. Fire up the app and you are in live mode. Was way easier than I was expecting.

OK. She's cut down and drying in tent for 60% rh and 60f heat to kick on if it goes below 60. This next week should be milder so hoping for a good dry. I have grove bags ready to go when finished.

Gorilla Glue Auto. Breeder unknown. Was a freebie from Herbies. Day 76 harvest.

Wet weight is 1413g. If final weight is 15% then an estimated 211g should be realized. Not to shabby for an auto.

Thank you for following this grow.

Next grow will be an Ethos photo bean.

I used a total of 182.6 kwhs to grow this plant.
Est. 211g yield/182.6 = 1.16g per kwh.

I think this is more accurate than the standard grams per watt simple ratio most ppl use. Using the simple method, 211/118(avg weekly watt setting) = 1.78g per watt. But doesn't tell a complete story.

Final numbers TBD.

Been drying like 6 days. Some spikes in temps during day but overall averages are good. I didn't realize my fan was pushing the temps up because I wasn't exhausting for heat only humidity. Re-adjusted so vent at 68f so now hopefully won't spike higher than ambient.

Still not dried. Small branches still pliable. Still smells like green weed atm. Most likely will have to cure that out.

I started trimming the smaller branches. Using grove bags. First time use of them but if I don't have to burp then it will be worth it. I am trimming as close as I can. Smells better today but cure will fix it.

I'm always amazed at how fresh the crystals look compared to dispensaries.

I got 190g of well manicured buds. 6.78oz. I have a bowl of trimmings that I'll try and harvest some kif from that. Also a few larf I will sample later. Overall very happy with the result. Will do a smoke report after it cures a bit along with some pics of some bud.

Does anyone use a silicone brush to knock off most of the trim? I use one and it's so much easier to dry trim.

What kind of trimming do most ppl do? Wet or dry. I think dry trimming is easier.

5 days in cure. Buds are not crazy dense but then again I grew it at 105w. Frost level comparable to my last gorilla glue auto outdoor grow but not on the level of my Ethos photo plant. Genetics play a big role. My next grows will be Ethos beans just to have one more layer of control on the genetics side. Not knowing this breeder bugged me.

I learned a lot about vpd and ppm this grow. I never monitored these before. Will control ppm next grow.

Smoke report to follow.
