Whats up fellas,
I wanted to get some feedback on hard pipe feed lines but mainly on building a manifold for 3 1800gph pumps.
I currently am running 3 1800gph danner pumps. Each pump has its own check valve and feedline going to each bucket. 3 separate feed lines going into the room from one rez.
I always wondered if I would have issues running only 1 main feed line going into the room via a manifold connected to 3 pumps. I would also have some ball valves in place for quick drainage of the system.
My feed line tee's at each bucket and reduces down to 1/2". I would like insight on how big I need to make the main pvc feed line. Currently have a 3/4" main that reduces at each bucket to 1/2".
To me it seems that 1" pvc pipe with 5400gph running through it might not be big enough. I would love some numbers here fellas. I know some of you are running these types of manifolds. I swear I saw a pic here few months back.
Lastly is it bad to incorporate the discharged water from the chiller into the manifold so instead of chilled water going back in my res it first needs to run through all buckets. Is this a bad idea? I don't see why it shouldn't work?
