I'm growing in 5x5 tent here in Colorado, and the temperature and humidity inside my tent keeps on fluctuating.

The temperature sometimes goes as high as 85° and as low as 71°
I have an inline fan blowing cool air through a duct line, but isn't used much of the time. Thats what I use to bring the temperature down when its high.

The humidity ranges from 31% to 80%.
I have one of those Spider Farmer humidifiers, which I have set at 60% but sometimes it goes through the roof, especially after watering (I wonder if it's faulty, tbo).

As I'm new to everything I feel that I will eventually be able to dial in the numbers where they will be needed, as I go.

My question is...do you think these fluctuations have had a negative impact on my plants?

They are going on nearly 4 weeks old.

These fluctuations can cause issues on the plants in flower and can cause hermie traits even if the genetics are sound. Best thing to do is find a way to manage everything in the lung room where your tent sits. The better you can manage that environment, the better you’ll be able to manage it within the tent.

10 degree swings is what you want to strive for

can you turn the setting down on your humidifier? I left mine set at 90% once and it ran all night! Hahah. I was super impressed at the run time on that bad boy but didnt really like my shed sitting at 90% humidity 😂 which model do you have? Have you played around with the settings? Is the humidity sensor in the correct spot?

I didnt answer your question, I was more responding to you mentioning the humidifier could be faulty. Definitely reach out to Spider Farmer if you think thats the case and they’ll get you dialed : )

I have a Spider Farmer humidifier (6 litre) I have the sensor in the middle of the tent, about 2 ft from the top.

I'm going to try and set it for 40%, but I'll bet it goes higher than that.

Thanks for your info

Yeah no problem! Hope you can get it figured out! Definitely try and lower the settings as a start : ) 👍

Depending on how many plants you are growing in the 5x5 you could get by without running one and get your humidity rise in your waterings alone.

When I do run it:
I have a manual humidifier nothing digital and have it plugged into an ACI Power adapter. That power adapter then plugs into my ACI controller. It will only turn on when my humidity reaches 60% and my inclines will hit max power. The humidifier will turn back off when the tent hits 72% and have my inline fan turn down to its lowest setting.

For the record, I'm growing 5 plants now. Eventually I'd like to grow 6-8 plants per grow.

I knew nothing about an ACI controller until you mentioned it. Looks like it could be the answer to my issues.

Thanks for that...nice one!

Good stuff, you’ll find the controllers are definitely a game changer to maintain your environment! I really really love the ACI controller and they have converters for other light manufactures. But once you set up your parameters and schedules on the APP, you’ll find yourself more in tune with your environment and being able to better maintain it. Best of luck in your future endeavors

AC Infinity Controller 69 is the way to go, I run 4 of them with everything from my lights, fans, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, air conditioner, etc

If you get one, get the Pro wifi version so you can monitor and adjust settings from anywhere you have cell phone service.
The Bluetooth only model does not offer this.

You will need UIS plugs to turn your current equipment on and off with the Controller 69.

If you don't have AC Infinity inline fans, I highly suggest getting one if you will be running the Controller 69 because you will get 10 self adjusting speeds with an ACI fan, other brands you can only run them as on/off and have to set speed manually.
The Controller 69 comes out to be only $30 if you buy the full Cloudline T pro kit that comes with fan, filter, duct, and Controller 69 compared to buying everything individually.

Your spider farmer humidifier will only work with the Controller 69 with a UIS plug if the Spider Farmer humidifier saves settings when a power outage occurs.
The UIS plug cuts all power to the device so it will need to power on automatically.
You can test to see if it does by unplugging from your wall, waiting a few minutes, and plugging it back in.
If it turns back on and starts misting automatically, then you can use it with the Controller 69.
Same goes with Dehumidifiers, air conditioners, heaters, etc if they're not ACI brand.

Thank you very much, Newty...that's pointed my nose in the right direction. Brilliant!
Cheers, mate!
