I’m looking for some advice reconfiguring my Alien Easy Feed system. I want to reconfigure the setup so it’s top-fed but I also want to make use of the current easyfeed tubes that go into the pots and repurpose it to somehow extract the run-off.
I’m not clear on how best to achieve this. My current thoughts are:
1) Remove the water timer. Buy an airpump connected to a timer to put in the reservoir with new tubing to the top of each pot. Adding a ball valve for each pot.
2) I know I’ll need another res for the drain system. Is there a pump that I could put into this reservoir that sucks the water out? I will of course be removing the Alien valves that close when the water level rises and putting tubing that touches the bottom.
Am I approaching this at the right angle and is there anything I need to consider when setting up this system.
