Hey, I have got my first plant from a friend and I can’t get it balance I hope the tips will come from here and help me to save it.
In the first two days the plant was near to the window till the VIVOSUN complet kit had arrived.
Since then the plant is in the tent.
Have 100W led lights, one fan and on duct that I can’t control them from an app.
The plant looks sad, some leaves with small small dots, the top leaves are dry.
And I don’t know how much light/fan/duct to adjust.

Hope someone can help me and save it🙏🏼

Hello and welcome to the forum.
Like any new hobby there is a bit of a learning curve but we will all throw in and help you along the way.

Modern LED lights are very powerful. Do not let any part of your plant get closer than 24 inches from the light.
Ask your friend what it is planted in. I need to know if it's in potting soil and perlite or Coco and perlite.
Looks like a peat moss based potting soil but it's better if I know for sure.

What where you thinking about fertilizer? Do you have anything?

What about water? Are you in town city - water? In the county - well water. Rain water?
Today. I'd like you to stick a finger 1-1/2 inches deep into the soil. See how it feels.
Slowly give this plant 1 liter of room temperature water. Spread out a cup at a time 5 minutes apart so the soil has a chance to soak up the water.
If you just dump it on the water will run threw and out the bottom. I know it's a bit of a pain but I use a little sprayer like this when feeding and watering. You get nice even coverage and the soil has time to soak up what your spraying on. If water runs out the bottom it's all good k.
Sprayer

Would you take a couple of side on shot of this plant about the same distance and post it for me.
I have a few suggestions but I need to have a good look at the plant.

Will check back after a bit.

Hey, thanks a lot for the comment I really appreciate it.
So first of all, I have to say that I have no idea how much Light, how much fan and how much ducting I need to do.
As I said before I have an app and now ducting volume is 1/10 fan volume 1/10 and lights volume 80%.
Another thing is that I have specially small tent 24 x 24 x 36 and only today I’m gonna get my bigger tent(36 x 36 x 72).
maybe the plant doesn’t have enough room?

For your questions-
1. He got this plant from a friend and we can’t know the what it is.

2.it is soil and perlite.

3. I don’t give him more food except of the soil and perlite. Just move the plant for a bigger pot (3galons).

4. I give the plant mineral water. Every time when the soil is dry I give him small battle room temperature.

I’ll take the pictures when I get home.
The plant is sleeping right now-can I open the tent for the pics?

Thx in advanced for everything 🙏🏼🤝🏻

Best not open tent when she is asleep. Pictures any time will do.
I am thinking about a small tent like that. I currently use 2 closets 1 veg and 1 flower about the same size.
A computer muffin fan hung from a top bar will make enough breeze. A small duct boost fan is all you need to change the air and run the outflow air threw a Hamilton beach true air replacement carbon filter. Not fancy but it works.

There are a few things you need to understand when you are going to grow your own pot and one of them is fertilizer.
You can keep it simple with Miracle Gro 12-4-8 in the yellow bottle or you can go to the hydroponics store and select a nutrient line there. But you need to make that decision asap so you can feed her.

Like anything else. Minerals in the right proportions are good for you and your plant. But a steady supply of mineral water will be detrimental.
Just ordinary tap water should have plenty of minerals in it for your plant.

You really do need a
PH pen, an E.C pen, and a PPM pen So you know what you are giving your plant.
Ebay or Amazon You don't need expensive. Calibration solution.

Will leave it at that for now. Chat again after you get pictures posted.

You have a deficiency that user immediately. Zinc. It’s the light color in the center of the leaf fingers with bright green on the outer.

The lights are fine it will be good.

What is your nutrients you are using?!

My plants went straight discolored in veg. I solved that by watering/feeding less and giving a few more days. Look at my cutting grow for more discolored veg looks from cuttings in rockwool. I recovered by being patient and feeding/watering less and getting the right nutrient mix. I cut all foliage that was progressive issues. But your plants look healthy green. Whatever you are doing keep doing it. But let us know what nutrients and concentration of them that you use.

At this point because i am experienced, I would start my 90 degree LST if choosing to not do any HST. I’d work my 90 degree and progressively move the LST tether to the stem, up the stem as it grew and maintain even canopy. All new growth I’d leave it and just focus all even to growth to light canopy with the one LST 90 degree tether. Re applying it up the stem as it grows to maintain.

You don’t need anything just grow her up. Follow nutrient schedule if you have one. If you don’t, be sure you have it figured out as to the entirety of her needs.
