Hi, to be honest every hydro grow I've struggled with. Always something that goes wrong. Each plant has grown at different speeds, some dramatically different. I used the hydro feed chart which I have uploaded, I use house and garden, from start to finish I always make sure temperature is right day/night, humidity, water pH at 5.8, nutrients & I even measured the lux using a meter. I use lumatek zues 2.9 600w, I use two of these at 850 a piece.

They are nearly 6 weeks into veg, recently I drained all the feed & changed to bloom nutrients & during the process of the plants being without water while I was mixing 100l feed, on 2 plants a certain part of the plant has started to wilter as shown on pictures. As it's been 6 weeks already and to be honest I'm not quite happy with the size of them considering. All the roots are different sizes, few are really big to bottom of dwc pots & some half way. I've flipped to 12/12 light cycle now.

Is it the nutrients causing the plants problems or what, also I'm new to using LED lights.

The main question is: will these branches revive themselves or do they need to be chopped off back to the stem. I'm quite gutted as i don't want to lose these shoots.

What are your room temperatures? What is your res temperature? Is there proper air circulation?

Are these all the same strain? Clones would be what you want if you for consistency.

27 day, 23 night. 20 res temp & I assume the air circulation is okay! I have intake, outtake & fans circulating air also the rooms not entirely airtight.

2 different strains, 5 plants & 4 plants same.

I would, but maybe do it in another room, that looks pretty gnarly. How are your roots looking? Could be root rot too.

I already considered it to be root rot so I have started using Great White, its some stuff to kill bacteria I have been told to use.

I've had my friend take a video of a few of the roots, he noticed the intake was blocked and wasn't blowing air into the room if that could of potentially caused problems.

I was worried it was a fungal infection above the waterline that would release spores if cut, but now I'm damn sure you have root rot. Those roots should not look like that. Great white is mycorrhizae, better for soil, to help uptake nutrients from organic compounds. What you need is Hydro guard for your system. And you can use hydrogen peroxide in water to wash those roots, maybe you can save them. I'm not a hydro guy, maybe @Aqua Man can help save your plants.

Look up Pythium, that is what causes root rot. You can combat it with bacillus amyloliquefaciens, a bacteria that will out compete the Pythium. You can also run a sterile system with a small percentage of hydrogen peroxide that will kill everything. It is a must if doing dwc/rdwc. Research sterile or live systems, and pick one to run. Also might need a water chiller if you don't have one. Too warm water and light leaks in the rez are breeding grounds for Pythium.

Thank you I appreciate your help. I've read that Great White is effective in DWC, also I researched some root rot and i haven't found any similar to mine. I've read that nutrient stain can get confused as root rot as mine don't smell at all and also isn't slimey! Ahh it's so annoying lol

You see how there are still white roots among the brown ones. That's what makes me think it isn't nutrient stain. Like I said, I'm not a hydro guy, but I've read quite a bit about cannabis. From here it looks like root rot, hopefully some of the heavy hitters around here chime in. Your plants definitely need some immediate help.

I'm going to chop away the dead branches and pray the great white kills the bacteria in there. Until then, I also pray the big boys come chime in & fire miracles at me lol! Barring the dead branches which happened when I left the plants with no water during water change. I don't think the plants look too bad, I'm doing to chop the dead branches off tomorrow & see from there😥😥
