Help With Room Setup

Hey guys. Looking for some advice on how much room to leave plants as they grow. Currently using 5 gallon pots usually i jam as many as i can in the room under the my 4 1000w bulbs
But it has obviously led to some very undeveloped buds, that were starved for light.
I dont want to leave too much space as to have too much unused space. Just curious how far most of yall keep your plants spaced apart to allow the best growth.

I grow bushes and try to keep a little space in between. Good dense nugs all the way down to the pot.

I keep 6-7 in a 4’ x 7’ area.

Do you do any bending, defoliating? Or are those beautiful ladies just straight up

I usually bend down the mainstem and tie it down to promote branching. Then train, stake and tie as needed.

The goal is to keep the plants 30” tall or less over the dirt. Good canopy depth for the 600w hps lamps.

Just wondering if you or anyone has used them, and if they know for sure they work or not. I have read various thoughts on these, some swear by them, others say they're trash. Whats your take?
I didnt have a device to measure the levels of C02 when i used them before, and i dont want to buy them again just to see.
