@Smokeyboi741 thanks! Happy 420 as well. Time took me on a journey. I hope more people will post their PNW pics on this thread, it's really a different world up here. I'll post more over time, don't want to hit some kind of upload limit too quick with some of the other stuff I'll be posting. Have thousands of just this kind of pic to share.

@the rrock it's really a different world up here. Glad to bring back memories. That last post was Horse Thief Butte (did an alpining school and that was our rock climbing training grounds), a trip up around Mt Adams, Crab Tree Lake, Silver Falls, a spot near Green Peter Lake, and somewhere near Saddleback Mtn which I can't recall the name of. Think it was Jefferson Jetty, but that doesn't seem 100% right.

I love this region, started this thread to share some of it with others. Glad it's still being received well, even though zombie threads are against forum etiquette 101.

Shellburg Falls cont.

Not sure how long that had been there, nor what brought it there, but thought it was interesting. Atop a pretty steep incline lies a shell, most like from a snail. View attachment 592431 View attachment 592432
Now these, these had me curious. They're either Galerinas (a type of poisonous mushroom) or a hardwood variety carrying psilocybin. Need to research further, but if anyone is a well versed mycologist, please offer input. Gilled cap, hollow stem, flesh colored gills (which is why I lean toward Galerina, most psylocybes have purple gills). Didn't take prints as I was unprepared for these finds but they were definitely pleasant to see. I tried to capture the taxonomy as best as I could with what I had available (my cell phone). This is turkey tail. If you're ever lost and need food in the woods, this guy may be of some good nourishment. View attachment 592435 View attachment 592436 View attachment 592437 View attachment 592438 View attachment 592439

And another epic drop I was too chickenshit to even try to scramble down.

Event horizon. These kind of views make one realize that roofing a house and standing on top of a 120 ft ledge are two completely different beasts. View attachment 592444
Red Striped Garter snake. Cool little guy, he was warming up and just chilled there as I walked by. View attachment 592445

This all reminds me of the cabin my dad used to have up in the mountains of Half Moon Bay, nothing quite like the Pacific Northwest
