the big girl today on the 9th, new leaves are unfurling better and she seems super healthy

IMG 3583

browning on the tips of the top leaves, suspected light burn but it does seem to have progress since i moved my light further up

IMG 3575 2

the training opened her up a lot, not sure how ill train the top leaves, I have a trellis but that will have to wait a while longer

IMG 3579

Mackie is poppin off, much faster than Louis. Been watering with spray bottles with heavily diluted seaweed extract. same for the big girl. then following up by regular watering with rain water.

Idk about all of you, but taking in-focus photos in a grow tent seems like an endeavor

Dawn of the planet of the gnats.... haven't watered in 2 days, not enough adults to get on the sticky strips, but i have 2 gallons of water with mosquito dunks begging to go, just need to wait for them to dissolve fully. If constant use of dunks doesnt work ill buy nematodes to hunt em down. My fault for coming with my firiends soil, and i overwatered. Not making that mistake again. Big guys roots are already expanding nearly to the edge of the pot, absolutely insane.
IMG 3630

Little guys are going insane, unfortunately the smaller one (Louis) had 2-3 gnats skitter out when i disturbed the soil. I managed to kill 4 today myself. but there are far more to come.

Lil babies got topped last night, they recovered well. Watered with mosquito dunks today, hopefully, we will see a decline in gnats.

My two new Cherry Pie seeds just broke the surface!!! Cannot wait to see how they develop

Started bending the lower limbs today, i was recommended by someone to remove the new stems that sprout from the nodes of the branches, so ive been taking them off as they pop up. The topping went well and there are now two main tops that are looking really healthy. Curious if i should top the tops and get 4, but that will have to wait.

the little guys are looking good since they were topped, Haven't seen any fungus gnats today...

One of the cherry pie sprouts has lost its seed coat and the cotyledons are spreading out, with the beginnings of its first serrated leaves.

Huge growth from the big guy, the new tops are absolutely shooting up now. Its been a cold April, can't go out for a while still, but it will be a good summer outside for em. Had some concerns about Nitrogen toxicity due to the dark leaves and downpointed tips. Gonna reduce the feed and just use some plain water for a bit.

The lil guys are recovered well from their topping, and starting to grow again. I put socks around their pots to prevent gnats from getting into the hole son the bottom of the pots, still seeing some but hopefully their numbers will reduce with less watering and the Tanlin Drops + mosquito dunk water. Cant water for a while since i drenched the plants, so its just a waiting game. If this doesn't work in a month its nematode time.

guy in the back is drooping and theres been some leaf death :( i made a post in the infirmary about it, happened over the course of 2 days and rapidly declined. the tips of the lowest leaves have dropped and become brittle. They broke when touched and dont look healthy. I watered with rainwater hoping that the plant was just thirsty but it only seems to have worsened.

1587514636162

1587514747096

the tip of this leaf is exactly what the other one looked like before it broke off, but on a smaller scale.

Big guy is doing fine. Monitoring the nitrogen claw.. light pot is doing not so great. Still don’t know what’s wrong with it. Will try to correct the pH. Might be watering, anyone’s guess. Those petioles are so damn purple it’s crazy

starting to think that these might not be the same strain

here’s the progression. Leaves still don’t look happy on em. Don’t know what to do besides get pH down and acidify the soil to 6.5 and wait. Gotta wait for the soil to dry out more though.

being mindful of the slight clawing, no more nutes for em. Still much too cold at night for anything to go outside sadly, Wondering if i should top a second time... so much effort for a plant that might not be a lady...

IMG 3794

IMG 3789

need to get some pH down before watering time later tomorrow
IMG 3787

getting bigger everyday. Tomorrow is a watering day for all the little ones. These mystery twins have some crinkled leaves, curious how quickly they will outgrow that. The are identical crinkles, however, it doesnt show up well but the wrinkles are the same between the plants.

just topped those two leading stems shortly after this was taken. Cleared off the dying leave from the little two. Watered the 4 smallest plants with rainwater pH 6.5 and ppm of 2. Hope that perks them up a bit. Will refrain from nutes heavily since the slight nitrogen clawing has been telling me to back off. Ill let the plants do most the work for now. Hopefull the big guy recovers soon enough, and i can get it outside nice and healthy!

this one doesn’t seem to be doing well at all. pH6.6, 3ppm... no nutes just rain water. Havent seen gnats in weeks. I’m stumped.
1588424594289

this is the other small one. Growth has been minimal. The tops are growing on this one but the other is just stagnant.

lil ones look great.
